Clash of Titans. What should we expect? Word on the street is Sparty brought in Roger Holmes from Dublin and will be running the Wing T from here on out.
They don’t play. Too far to travel on a school night.Im more interested in the JV matchup

The Generals will show up in business fashion and game will not be in doubt earlyAll of the suggestions in the world will not change the Generals approach to the game.
Prepare, prepare, prepare, and then execute.
The Spartans will come to play, as they historically do. Dinwiddie will approach the game the way they approach every game, no matter the opponent.
May the best team win.
You go right ahead. And be sure to spend some money while you are in our county.I'm planning on poppin over to the Test and Tune over on Boydton road and seeing how fast I can get the minivan going.
Well to be honest I believe Fleming would. I don't know about others, but my circle of friends still hold Salem in high regards. Are they struggling, banged up and having some issues? Sure! You people must not have heard/watched Coach Mills post game on Friday. No one expected this young team to be 3-0 right now. In fact, they were totally disrespected. We have quarterback whose only snaps came in mop up duty two years ago. He is following one of the best players Navy Nation has ever witnessed and has not only won, but lit it up. Did the media and other teams think this team was going to be good. Absolutely not. Dinwiddie wasn't even ranked in the 804 Varsity top tenLet's look at it this way. Who here believes any of the teams Salem has played would give the Generals a game this yr? I surely don't.
I know how the Generals will prepare, I also know it’s been 14 years since Franklin County beat Salem before the other Friday. The Generals will roll…iiwii.Well to be honest I believe Fleming would. Playing, much less beating HSHS was historical for us and the thought of facing Salem next is concerning to say the least. I agree with @DinwiddieProud. A good Salem or a bad Salem the focus will be the same. Step 4 is coming on Friday and our youngens will be ready to lock horns with multi state champion Spartans. @SFUWO 21 I know you are a loyal and extremely honest Salem fan. Don't get down on your young men. They could very easily come to Dinwiddie with a chip on their shoulder just like our guys had last week. I for one hope the Spartans come to play.
Has anyone considered that Salem played two former coaches who know the Salem way and one whose school beat them in the playoffs two years ago and have been beaten by Sparta for year. Maybe it was just their turn. Drive safely fans.

They will show up and play hard. Definitely hoping they can pull the upset. Yes we know all about Coach Edwards and coach Leftwich knowing our system inside and out. That doesn't change the fact that all three teams have lost to other teams as well. WF lost 41-14 at home to a very good Varina team. EC Glass has lost 2 games after beating Salem. I know each game is different but the outlook vs good teams is not good. Especially since the QB is out. Next man up has always been a quote. Maybe we get an unexpected player to step up.Well to be honest I believe Fleming would. I don't know about others, but my circle of friends still hold Salem in high regards. Watching WF feels like watching the Salem offense of coach mag via 2004-2013 before Pitts. Pretty coolThey will show up and play hard. Definitely hoping they can pull the upset. That's the play MaroonDude, shake that bear.I finally got to see some film. It looks like Dinwittie can't even line up n defense. What's that all about?
It worked. Salem will likely not see the shifts and blitzes too much. Will line up in a base defense to defend the power I, traps and sweeps. @mikesalem, love ya brother, but the bear was shook when the team saw the schedule. Our kids and coaching staff love competing against the best and Salem is viewed as one of the best ever in Class 4. @MaroonDude your not the first Salem fan to intentionally misspell our name. Maybe after Friday you will see the name on the Navy jerseys running in the end zone enough to put some respect on it. Not funny, classless.I finally got to see some film. Salems defense has given up 92 points in 3 games. Salem only had 31 give or take dressed, many of those are JV players. Salem has no next man up. They have JV players that looked lost against Fleming varsity last week. With 6 starters out??? Salem hasn’t played an elite team like Dinwiddie. Fleming played an elite team in Varina and look what happened to Fleming.. 49-0 by the halfWell to be honest I believe Fleming would. Dude all I can say is you had better hope Coach Mills has a sense of humor lol.I finally got to see some film. It looks like Dinwittie can't even line up n defense. What's that all about?
We all have a great sense of humor, until someone deliberately try’s to slander our community. Thank goodness that virtually all other Salem fans have a lot more class than you show.Dude all I can say is you had better hope Coach Mills has a sense of humor lol.
The coaches, players, and fans were 1st class as usual. I am getting way to old. Salem has a coach whose father coached me forty-two years ago. I love this rivalry unfortunately the game lacked intensity and just felt odd. Seeing Coach Mills put the brakes on early in the third was a good move, but I did not expect it. That shows the respect he has for the Spartan program. We have to go to Salem next year and the shoe could be in the other foot. What surprised me last night was the totally uncharacteristic mistakes Salem made. The turnovers and penalties are something you just don’t see from a Salem team. And the backfield missing assignments on pass coverage was glaring. It’s actually a complement to Salem to even mention these things, because it’s just so out of character for the program.
I wasn’t able to attend last night, and therefore missed the opportunity to greet the coaching staff that comes into the press box. I’m sure they were like they always are, immaculately dressed, polite, professional, appreciative and gracious. By far my favorite group of visiting coaches.
A lot of young guys on the team, I’m surprised, I expected the final score to be the score at the half. Salem is just down this year, we’ve been spoiled for a long time. A bad year was 8-2, and now a very good likelihood we’ll end up 5-5. Between Dinwiddie, Phoebus and Varina, not sure anyone else has anything for yall in division 4What surprised me last night was the totally uncharacteristic mistakes Salem made. Those young Salem boys played with a lot of heart but Dinwiddie just has some dudes. Held Salem to 7 passing yards total Friday and held them to under 100 yards rushing leading up to the freshmen/sophomores being put in the 3rd. Coach Mills is a class act and has tons of respect for the Salem program. He wasn’t running the score up on them, in fact he started most of his talented freshmen and two of them scored (#9 Derrikus Nelson and #21 Resean Roc Jones). These two teams will see a lot of each other over these next 4-6 years.A lot of young guys on the team, I’m surprised, I expected the final score to be the score at the half.
