Salisbury vs Ledford

Didn't see a thread on this so thought I'd start one. Biggest game of the week in the CCC, Salisbury is playing catch up in the standings now and Ledford is looking to stay on track before the showdown with Oak Grove. Hope someone will give updates, I'll probably go to the Dudley and Tabor game this week.

Both teams have great defenses so I expect the score will be somewhat low. Both have good enough offenses to capitalize on mistakes so winning field position and turnovers will be paramount. Should be a good one and will be huge for seeding purposes.

I've seen both teams on tape and both have really good defenses but Ledford seemed to be more aggressive and played with more confidence IMO. On offense Ledford's RB runs hard and just when teams key on him, the QB will pull it and break a long run. Salisbury's offense just isn't consistent enough with scoring points and dropped passes, turnovers,etc. They only beat Central 10-0 and Ledford beat them 28-0 so I think Ledford wins by at least 10 in this one.

Ledford Defense: Good
Salisbury Defense: Good
Ledford Offense: One dimensional, Good
Salisbury Offense: One dimensional, Average
Ledford Special Teams: Good
Salisbury Special Teams: Below Average

Ledford wins this one in a tight one. I would thinks Ledford has the upper hand in coaching and adjustments. Between Adams and Cline, great minds. Salisbury will play a-little undisciplined. Not character, but football playing penalties. I’ll be attending this game. This will help set up the OG vs Ledford match up.

Defense will ball. They always do (that is saying nothing at all negative about Ledford). Offensive consistency is the ticket. If the boys can get a rhythm going and stop with the mental errors they will be fine. That will be increasingly tough to do against a quality defense.

Ledford and Salisbury both have good defenses, but Ledford is better on offense and special teams so I give them the nod 21-10.

Comparative scores mean nothing, matchups do. With that said let's have a look at common opponents.

Thomasville lost 27-12 to Ledford, lost 28-0 to Salisbury.

Central lost 28-0 to Ledford, 10-0 to Salisbury.

West Davidson lost 27-3 to Ledford, 14-11 to Salisbury.

Lexington lost 52-6 to Ledford, 28-0 to Salisbury.

Ledford has a better offense, Salisbury has a better defense. Ledford also seems to be better at special teams.

Ledford seems to give up more points against speed, Salisbury against power running teams. In that case both defenses will be tested against their biggest weaknesses this week by the opponents offense.

Like I said before, I give Ledford a slight edge and think they will win by a score. But I don't think it is an upset either way.

I like Ledford in this match up, but I don't think Ledford has anything for Oak Grove. Holcomb will out coach Adams and thats what it will come down too.

Didn't see this domination coming. Nice win Salisbury. The Hornets will be a tough out in the playoffs if their offense stays consistent. Salisbury fans, any idea how big or small they are this year numbers wise?

Salisbury QB played very well last night running the offense.

The QB looked a lot better than he did when I watched him against OG. Maybe OG defense is better than Ledford!
