He confirms his ignorance almost daily now...

How anyone with a pulse can take him seriously is beyond me. Even the toothless crimson concrete inhabitants can't continue to read this **** excuse for journalism and take it seriously.

Barrett when MSU wins, will you go crawl back unde your rock, forever and save the server space that your garbage articles take up?

Sallee is stupid for writing this

The funny thing about Sallee is that he goes on Mississippi talk radio shows and talks good about MSU, writes articles like this one, and then will be on another MS sports radio show tomorrow stating that he didn't say MSU had no chance. He is like a two faced teenager that talks out of both sides of his mouth.

Its actually very surprising that a writer would go out on a limb like this. You rarely, if ever, see a writer state that a team has no chance due to it basically putting them at risk of being a laughing stock and losing credibillity. Especially when that team has an NFL caliber QB, lock down corners, and is undefeated. However slim, teams with good players at those positions always have a chance to win every game.

Furthermore, if you have watched MSU at all this year, you would know that while we do lead the nation in turnover margin, thats not really why we are winning. We are winning because we are better than the teams we are playing and we just so happen to get lots of turnovers. I for one, still have no idea how good we are, I just know we are better than the teams we have played. We are not getting lucky with turnovers, and any media person basing our success completely on turnovers is simply uninformed about our team. Stats support and illuminate conclusions, but don't create them.

For a writer to come out and say we have no chance it just stupid. The smart ones say that Bama will win by two touchdowns. That way they are mostly right no matter what happens. Especially when neither team has been really challenged this year, and don't say Troy challenged us. That was a complete sleep walk job.

Most likely scenario...

Bama wins by 10-14 points. The score will be closer to us winning than us getting beat by 30+ points. Sallee comes back and says I told you so, while hoping that nobody remembers that he said we had zero chance and would be blown out.

I have no idea how...

..this game will turnout, but all the disrespect being tossed around this week has to have MSU's players on the verge of shitting fire. Couldn't ask for a better motivation scenario for the Bulldogs.

Frankly, our chances are slim, but....

there is a chance. If Alabama plays poorly, we are capable of winning the game.

Lazy "journalism"

Every Alabama walk-on fan and sidewalk alumnus I know on Facebook has already said as much, just without benefit of a semi-regionally known sports website for a mouthpiece. What would've been interesting is a piece on what State has to do to win the game, citing as examples evidence of what we do well from one of our previous 7 wins. But it's just easier for this hack to bloviate along the themes of "State has no chance" and "State hasn't played anyone" as opposed offering any sort of real thought or insight. Nice 5th grade level Excel line chart, btw...

Aren't we terrible when it comes to turning turnovers into points? I realize by taking the ball away from an opponent keeps them from scoring, but we rarely ever turn TOs into anything. So you're right, we don't win BECAUSE of them. We just get them. But douche nozzles like Fowler and whoever will discredit us any chance they can if it helps Alabama or whoever their star child of the year is.

For someone to say that we are only winning because of our turnover ratio??? Has he watched how we dominate the clock, how we have more depth than ever before and how we have man handled our opponents? If its and butts were candy and nuts, I know, but just think....If we dont give up a couple kick returns for tds or dont allow a couple of goofy a$$ busted plays....UT's Patterson... we would be looking at blowouts against AU and Tenn. Instead, the games seemed a little tighter. But we all know the truth...I think Murlin has done a wonderful job disguising our talent. Kudos to Vegas as they will make a lot of money on this game. I hope D Millton and J Lewis are ready. I think both players are our wildcards.

If I hear one more person say we have no chance, I'm afraid I might hit someone.

I read a thread yesterday - on the rant, forgive me - saying that since we escaped Troy with a 6-pt win there was no point in discussing beating Alabama.

In 1980 we escaped Illinois with a 7-point win. They went on to be 3-7-1 that year. Four weeks later, history was made. Escaping a weaker team earlier in the season doesn't mean there's no such thing as an upset later in the season. The whole 17ing point of an upset is that by definition, it isn't supposed to happen. But yet they do happen.

Sweet fancy Moses, I want to see us grind out a win on Saturday. The arrogance is 17ing suffocating.

I need to go hit something.

He lost any credibility he had as a 'writer' with this line right here...

"But are the Bulldogs all sizzle and no steak?

We'll know this weekend, and all signs point to the former."

Hey genius, there is only one option in the previous sentence because you put 'and' instead of 'or' you dipshit. Jesus, you sound like you went to school somewhere in Alabama...

I think he just reprinted his article from the Auburn game earlier this year. My how things have changed since then. I want to see his followup article about Mullen and the Hot Seat.

I didn't read that to men no chance. I certainly don't agree about how low the chances are, but I understand.

Sallee is just hanging on for dear life to his assertion that Mullen, and therefore State is not a good as people think. Unless we lose to bama a lot worse than most have, our win nothing gets settled this weekend.

Truthfully, its the a and m and lsu games that will tell the tale.
