This is my last season for support of Rhule, i think he’s a decent coach but he also made some head scratching bone head decisions on staff and players like satt as oc and picking Jeff Simms. I still hang on to hope things will change for the better with the new coaches and no more Dylan. The difference between T Frazier and Dylan was Tommies parents didn’t interfere and he thrived on competition. Dylan on the other hand his dad was always insisting on different things. Maybe I’m wrong but I can’t see Dylan doing much better at Oregon.
can you please list the things he is 'decent' at as a major college football head coach?

bonus points for anything that actually impacts how we perform on the field.

thanks in advance.

I think it’s a very real possibility he will be recruited over next year for Oregon.
He is a Spring game and practice god. Not so good in real games against high level defenses. He will get the start because he will make all of the throws in practices and has a good arm.
Whether or not he stays the starter in 2027 will be up to his play in the 1st few games and league games.
Recruited over? Not likely. Dylan was a very high rated recruit. It would take a top 2 or 3 qb in his class. Many guys have lost starting jobs without being "recruited over".

Our O line injuries on the right side destroyed any chance we had of finishing the season strong.
I didn't expect it to be anything outstanding. Just better than what it was.

Like my previous post, inexcusable. Which is probably part of the reason why Donnie got fired. Didn't have any backups ready to play well.

Oregon for the foreseeable future will be able to grab just about any qb out of the portal they want. If there is someone who straight balls out and get to Eugene - I think they would still take him. DR is a safety net for them - not playing this year will be a big deal IMO.

Davis portaled and Jeudy graduated. They were replaced by Stoudmire (6-1/292), Whittington (6ft/270) and Jones (6-5/265). These guys will likely be part of a rotation that will include at least RVP, Hoffken, Pietrzak, Nwaneri, Cam L and Gabe Moore. Stoudmire had a productive 2024, but was injured in 2025. Whittington is a younger player that I think they like, but is probably a year away.
The guys who will play the most are Stoudmire, RVP, Pietrzak, Nwaneri, Cam L and Moore. 3 interior guys and 3 DE types. Cam will finally get to play a position he is suited for. I think they will be much better than last year.
Stoudemire still hurt, won’t be here for spring ball at all

expected to join the team in the summer (?) ahead of camp

He missed camp last year and only played 3 games. I don’t know what to expect from him as far as availability is concerned.

our only run stuffer addition from the portal

This doesn't appear to be true about Stoudmire's status for spring

No need to hope. Less than a week ago this comes from the press conference.

LINCOLN — Nebraska football coach Matt Rhule confirmed on Saturday, following the conclusion of his team’s first week of spring camp that transfer defensive players Dexter Foster and Owen Stoudmire are both “full go” in practices after suffering season-ending injuries in 2025.

If anybody falls for the hype at this point, after everything we have been through, that is on them. Why not just wait and see what happens? Why do we have to talk so much?

The press clipping I posted is from last Friday

Also - what preacher Rhule says in pressers and what actually happens are very often two very different things

So what incentive would he have to be dishonest about Stoudmire being full go in practice, let alone not joining the team until summer? He listed a bunch of players that wouldn't be available all spring at the first press conference. But for Stoudmire he is not telling the truth?

what incentive would he have to be dishonest about not giving players with fumbling problems the football in big moments?

everything Preacher Rhule does is feelings-driven. attempting to apply logic to feelings is a fool's errand.

Seriously, we've all lived through almost the exact same season like 10 times in a row, with the exact same offseason coachspeak, regardless of head coaches, assistant coaches, players, admins, etc. I don't get why anybody gets hyped up OR bothered by any of this stuff.

So he is lying about things that can be proven false in about 30 seconds. The dude is either here and practicing or he isn't. No feelings involved.

I am talking specifically about Stoudmire being on campus and practicing this spring. Verghese, Benning and Ravi were talking about him today and how he is practicing. But I am sure Rhule is lying.
oh, good! the writer on this site apparently botched that report hilariously.

I've yet to see any mention of Stoudmire outside of Rhule saying he's full go, nor a picture of him in the clips

No roster photo either.

I spoke to someone in Lincoln with access to practices, Stoudmire is indeed in Lincoln and practicing with the team.
