Files affidavit asking court to reign in the renegade Alabama basketball program and rule Bediako ineligible. Legitimate, or did the Bama check bounce?
Or they finally got tired of all the BS and decided to put their foot down.
And IT IS!I think he indicated it was bad for the integrity of the game. Detrimental.
Bama teaching everyone what it means to tamperTexas really changed the landscape…
At some point, someone has to be the adult in the room.Or they finally got tired of all the BS and decided to put their foot down.
ExactlyAt some point, someone has to be the adult in the room.
So what was the situation? Someone told me he declined treatment/surgery for one of his seasons so he could start. Ended up not starting and not redshirting. And now he wants to retroactively apply a medical redshirt to that season. Is that right?Same with Trinidad having a cold and trying to get a medical red shirt.
It was a nasty cold though **Same with Trinidad having a cold and trying to get a medical red shirt.
The SEC is so mad at all the cheating by Alabama football they are gonna hammer the basketball program. Or at least just not let them have a former pro player.Well they have to do something to make it look like they are making up for all those missed holding calls over the decades![]()
And per one of our Rebel posters medical redshirts don’t even exist at I-AA. But of course the judge will rule in their favorIt’s pretty cut and dry. He is trying to apply for a medical redshirt after the fact. You have to do it the year of the injury and it wasn’t done. But no way a Mississippi judge will rule against Ole Miss.
Now it's up to the big10 commish to follow suit. That's what's it's going to take sec and big 10 commissioners saying enough and putting the breaks on these programs. If they do then the rest of ncaa will fall in lineAt some point, someone has to be the adult in the room.
You just need to drop off a couple of tv packages at the judges house **It’s pretty cut and dry. He is trying to apply for a medical redshirt after the fact. You have to do it the year of the injury and it wasn’t done. But no way a Mississippi judge will rule against Ole Miss.
You can’t apply for a medical redshirt in the division Ferris state plays in.It’s pretty cut and dry. He is trying to apply for a medical redshirt after the fact. You have to do it the year of the injury and it wasn’t done. But no way a Mississippi judge will rule against Ole Miss.
Why not suggest he has 3 years remaining since most of his career has been in a different division? Swing for the fences I say!You can’t apply for a medical redshirt in the division Ferris state plays in.
I have a feeling that is going on with Ole Miss QB. I don't think they are going to surrender like they did with Vandy's QB.Or they finally got tired of all the BS and decided to put their foot down.
You sure about that? You can’t apply for a medical redshirt in the division Ferris state plays in.
Detrimental to have professional athletes playing “college” sports?I think he indicated it was bad for the integrity of the game. Detrimental.
No, not sure at all - looking back at I was wrong. MS don't require the same level of documentation as D1 but they are allowed. I'll take my beating now.You sure about that?
Linky
Okay my link is weak. The NCAA medical hardship rules appear to apply to athletes in all divisions, but I couldn't quickly find anything expressly stating that.
What I linked is the student newspaper for D2 U Indianapolis explaining how a lacrosse player got a medical redshirt.
I'm willing to entertain the idea that Chambliss could not receive a medical redshirt at Ferris St. for some other reason, but not because it was D2.
However, I stand by my original understanding that athletes who have already redshirted once and are seeking a medical hardship waiver for a 6th season to complete eligibility typically wait until after their 5 years to compete is over.
There's no integrity left in the game.I think he indicated it was bad for the integrity of the game. Detrimental.
Facts are tricky things.Chambliss' biggest problem is that the paperwork from his prior school to the NCAA stated that his reason for not playing that year was based on his development (or lack thereof) to earn playing time. I can't find the article that quoted it, but that is the main thing the NCAA is relying on.
