1. St johns was a fraud. Those of you that have bent the knee to slurp pitino all season can get up now. Take a shower and we will welcome u back. They didn't beat anyone good all season.
2. Arkansas is going to sweet 16 with its best player out. Credit due there. I still hate cal for how lazy he was the last 4 years here. It's unacceptable. He still won't win anything that matters again.
Cal already has.

Not good bc Cal winning puts more pressure on Pope to win tomorrow by segment of fans. We already looked right yesterday for the first 15 min
I know why we may lose but it don’t feel good. That SOAB would do his best coaching possible this time. Makes me absolutely sick. Like he can’t coach if he’s not in a hole or with a massive chip on his shoulder.

Tournament games don't matter? That goes against everything I've been reading on this board in the last 12 hours.

1. National titles
2. Final fours

UK fans don't care about sweet 16s. Neither do Arkansas fans. Final fours or better or season isn't a success.

Because everything is related to ego. It’s what makes him great and terrible

I had some things to do up in Louisville today and went to watch the game at Double Dogs and 99% of the crowd were cheering for St. John’s. Lots of the crowd had UK gear on.

He swears up and down there is no bad blood, but he always seems to step it up against him, the way he talks about him too, I just don't believe him. He hates Pitino and it's one of the few times losing would actually hurt his ego.

Anything can happen in the tournament, but I think some of you are really sleeping on Texas Tech. They have a really good team that’s top 10 good in a lot of metrics and had some strong wins to back that up. They’d easily be favored over Arkansas instead of being some kind of stiffs that the Hogs would be lucky to be facing.
Texas Tech is exactly the kind of team Cal would have beaten early in his tenure here and this feels like that.

Both teams we played were favored over us.
I said it before scared of nobody line em up!

Tomorrow it's your turn to win, nothing to loose if you play hard, TN will probably be next you owned them 2 times already!

EDIT probably the only 10 seed nobody wont's to play right now!

Yall are finally realizing the Pitinos coaching style is even more outdated than Caliparis
I don’t know about that. But clearly a large percentage of posters here aren’t capable of being objective, about either but especially Cal. And I get that. You read this forum you’d never know he’s a first ballot HoFer, never know he’s got more tournament wins since he got to Kentucky, etc. He has lost his fastball - occasional games like today notwithstanding - and he should’ve left UK years ago. But he was a great coach.

ark fans gonna get suckered in….

“21 wins is enough”
“tournament is all that matters”
“he’s to the draft after four college games?”
“we got a good class to replace our team”
“we’ll have chemistry next time”
“do’s he care about the program?”
“no way we can lose to lipscomb”
“no way we can lose to st. retard’s”
“no i’m not following, but hear he’s good”
“i hate basketball”

I didn't say they don't care.

I said the only thing that ultimately matters is the teams that make final four or win the title at UK.
Do you think I can't read or can you not remember what you said from one minute to the next? "UK fans don't care about sweet 16s."

It will be a national slurp fest of I told you so to UK fans all week.
It will be, but I don't even care. Cal took all of our guys and Pope had to piece together a team from leftovers. He was able to bring one incoming recruit who didn't play for 2 years, and Jax, who is out due to freak injury in practice. Much better regular season than Cal too. If the national media thinks we should have bent over backwards to retain Cal after his post 2019 performance, then it's just arguing in bad faith.

That is totally accurate but if Hunter Dickenson didn’t point shave and KJ Adams didn’t tear his Achilles they would have lost first round.
