this might be tough but... not so much MTSU but Murfreesboro.... The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza is a band and yes it is named after the great Tony Danza. Wow - I bet they rock the house. Other than that.... their original mascot was Nathan Bedford Forrest, which they later had to change because of some white sheet organization he started

he invented the Ole Miss #4/Brett Favre joke as well as wrote the trailer for the upcoming movie "The Low Post" with Regina King and Dennis Haysbert.</p>

He's kind of a big deal on the interwebs.</p>

I have ever heard.

Not as funny as him bitching about the outfielders "not catching balls hit to them" and Casey Long telling him- "Well, it's hard to catch something thats been hit like it's shot out of a cannon."

USM also had a mascot named General Nat when their nickname was the Southerners.
