And, no, you're not factoring that in because the only true flaw is coaching but blame the kid that did everything humanly possible to win the game with his best offensive weapon on the bench for some unknown reason most of the day

The mini strapped to a quarterback is not typically for scripted plays....
it's commonly referred to as a wrist coach. These wristbands serve as a portable playbook, allowing quarterbacks to easily access plays during a game. They typically hold a card with the plays, making it easier for the quarterback to reference the next play he wishes without needing to consult the sidelines. This practice has been adopted in various sports, including football, to enhance communication and efficiency on the field

QB: looks at wrist band, finds play #11 and calls out something like, "Trips Left 33 Belly".

Those are independent of production. In other words, the other 59:30 of the game isn’t causing him to be late way too often.
There was a throw in the first half that kind of embodied the Allar Experience. And they showed behind the play in replay. USC was in 1 high and Penn State ran kind of that double crosser post that everyone runs now to beat one high (we call it Yankee) and the safety rightly jumped the first crosser and bracketed. The guy opposite crossing flashed wide open. Allar had time and it’s a throw you see 80 times a Saturday. Walk in TD and not all that difficult a throw.
Allar gets nervous and throws the first bracketed crosser. Of course it’s incomplete because there’s nowhere to go with it.
So when I say he isn’t very good I’m already factoring in that he’s not getting time always and he’s working with a head coach who shouldn’t be anywhere near a sideline in 2025. You have to make certain throws and make certain decisions for me to think you’re good and he just doesn’t often enough.

Allar is just not that good. Maybe if he had been developed. But too late for that. Thank him for his sub/mediocre service and on to the Grunk!

He’s just not very good. That’s the best way to say it.
He made plays today, didn’t have a bad game. But he’s about like Clifford was. Good, not very good.

drew hasn't played great but at what point can we look at everything else around him. How does Hagans still have a job today? He took 3 portal guys and they are now worse!!!

at what point does AK sit in his house and think the QB read and QB draw will work? Drew can run and has made some plays on breakdowns, but nobody considers him a runner.

At this point I don’t even know what to think anymore with this team’s coaching staff.
Earlier today, I saw Landon Tengwell had posted a few of the QB power read plays (including the final 4th and 2) and they’re not blocking it right. As in, the tight end continues to block down on the guy they’re reading and it just clogs everything up regardless of what the QB does. Keeps it, tight end is shoving the guy into the hole. Gives it, tight end isn’t blocking to safety because he’s blocking down on the read end.
If you told me they haven’t practiced that play I’d believe it.

That is terrible and can't happen. For drew to run everything needs to be perfect or a surprise.

They said the exact same thing with hack. Exactly the same. He will be great lol.

Wait until the nfl with the speed they have coming at him. Uhoh.
We really just need a dual threat qb with Ak offense. When I hear that allar had most running yards since they refused to use Allen o get scared.
Maybe Ak uses Allen more rest of way and has allar do 2-3 steps and throw rather than 7. Maybe he gets better and we get better. We can hope. But hope is not a plan.

The speed of the game isn't a problem.
We don't need a dual threat QB--we need AK to adapt--which he proved last year he wouldn't which is why he should have been fired before the start of the year.
The worst decision Allar made was coming back out of loyalty to play for Franklin and AK who apparently have no clue what to do with a pro-style QB
You're seeing something very similar in Texas--their OL is a mess and they have absolutely no run game so Arch looks 10x worse than he's actually playing.

The same people, when we pushed back that hack wasn’t that great even though he was a five star with a rocket arm etc etc etc. now plug in allar to that narrative. Allar probably should have gone knowing that all everything Warren that made him look great was leaving, then we would have Beau. Dang. Where were you then!!

Why would anyone want Beau? The objective is to win titles not be mid.
Hack and Allar aren't comparable. Too many in our fan base want to make that comparison. Hack's issue were very very different than what Drew is seeing. Watch Klatt and others do nothing but praise Drew's performance on Saturday.
The truth is I have no idea why any QB commits here. It's a horrible decision on their part. The only commonality for Drew and Hack was their potential was stunted by a coach.

Wrong, right winger. Portland is a mostly safe thing of beauty with mostly peaceful protestors fighting for mostly legal immigrants against jack booted criminals just there to mostly cause trouble for mostly innocent people most of the time.

Look at beautiful Laurelhurst Park, one of the most affluent neighborhoods in Portland, and tell us that anything is wrong with that city:
