It appears VT has figured out to contain Sellers so he can't scramble for yards and put enough pressure on him so he can't be comfortable passing the ball. OL isn't keeping him clean so their D plan is working.

Defense on the field too much. They are getting tired and VT is getting more and more confident

They have more offense than we do so far. Better play calling. Better execution.

There offense does look better than ours. Our D looks more athletic than theirs.

Based on the first driver of the game for each team, I was feeling like I was finally gonna get to relax and enjoy a season opener.
I feel for you. I actually thought, "Maybe this is it!" Well, it's a long season.

If VT were any good at all, we would be in real trouble.

The DL looks pretty good defending interior runs. DBs look average and the VT qb isn't too dangerous throwing the ball.

VT D is terrible, they had five players ready to tackle Faison for basically no gain and all of them stood and watched him run by.

A running back can dive over the top of the pile and have one inch of the nose cross the goal line, then let go of the ball. And that's a TD.

But this one (and the one last night with LSU) is not.

STUPID!!!

That’s exactly what I don’t understand. The moment you cross the goal line with possession of the ball it’s a touchdown and the play is dead. It doesn’t matter what happens after that.
