It is really unfortunate that we don't have a writer in MS who will defend us the way AL has writers defend their state schools! Our writers seem only want to tweet dirt on us and write about that. They damn sure don't go on radio and defend us.

They are homers. We have a witness (Rogers) saying that when money was discussed with a coach, he said "no no no". This witness also reports that Cecil was pimping his son.

We turned in Cecil. Where cam signed and under what circumstances that took place is somebody elses problem.

Get Auburns cock out of your mouth Scarbinsky.

it's not like we called the SEC because somebody wanted a new car or some diamond stud earrings or some other ******** that goes on all the time. A dad was pimping his son out for 200K. That's some major ****. All the Aubies crying about it, with the rest of the national media idiots who are saying we are just pissed he chose Auburn don't understand this. We're talking about a dad selling his kid's services for 200K and I'm glad as hell we separated from this jackass the moment it happened. And I'm glad we called ******** on it all.

Brandon's article today is titled 'Rogers, Bell, present more unanswered questions'. It's not a bad article but seriously we're like a circular firing squad over here. Why should our reporters not be asking the big question which is: If Cecil Newton asked for money and we would not provide, why did he sign with Auburn? It's pretty well established at this point that Cecil asked for cash using Rogers for his connections.

I don't want him to go all 'Scarbinsky' because that guy may as well get a check from the Tigers Unlimited Foundation but dig in someone else backyard every once in a while.

Why do we get the damn laziest (VZ and Marcello) reporters working on our beat!?!?! Both of them just sit back and wait for info to come to them and then do absolutely nothing proactive and ask the "hard questions" a real reporter is suppose to do.

at best in all of this there may be some issues with a booster being contacted by the Newtons or possibly not immediately reporting the incident at the hotel on Nov. 27th. But there has been nothing reported so far that would have us on anything but minor issues. Saying we are in deep trouble is a quite a stretch.

Heck, we got NOTHING out of this. We could have had the kid if we would have met the Newton's demands.

If digging goes beyond filing an open records request, VZ ain't gonna do it. You know, that's real hard work.

Horse ****... Blame is squarely on Rusty Hampton. Marcello was Arkansas' Wardlaw pretty much but the CL and Hampton just sent him to Stark. SOB never even introduced himself just the next day we had some hackass article. Clarion Ledger is dying a slow death ala Colonel Reb. Which is fitting.

It stands to reason that ESPN don't know everything and are running with what they got. I don't see us gettingin trouble, everything I have read on ESPN we said no every single time. Auburn is screwed!

Well he's about to be on the radio in Atlanta, I'm sure he's going to use his platform to completely trash us. Why doesn't B Mac try to get on some of these radio shows, all you have to do is call in! The Clarion Ledger should be owning this story!

tied up, thrown in the trunk, taken to the woods and slaughtered by COMMON SENSE.

So, we ahd so much to worry about that we called the SEC ourselves and turned this matter in?? Riiiight.

Why are people so surprised he got paid? They want it not to be true soooo baddd...But they can wish and wish, but it's still true.</p>

In a compliance situation, I cannot think of one example where someone gives up everything immediately. Any company, institution, or person with reasonable competence does not volunteer more information than necessary. Why? Because we live in a litigious and agenda-driven society. Once the administration gives information to the SEC or NCAA, they cannot control how or to whom the information is released. <div>
</div><div>Just wait and see how slowly Auburn gives information to the NCAA, while fully complying. It will be a lengthy back-and-forth process. </div><div>
</div><div>I'm sure Scarbinsky and the rest of the Auburn Family will continue to shout "Auburn would not be in this situation if Miss State would have just told them the Newton's wanted money on November 27."</div><div>
