Facts are: Seidel was growing. He went up weight classes each year. Seidel was seen as a college 133lber. Northern Lebanon had a capable senior who could hold down 127lbs.
But yeah, it could only be about moving up for the challenge of (aka not going out of his way to avoid) Jax Forrest when seeking his 4th PA state title.
The relative ranking positions of Seidel and Forrest make this meaningless out of conference dual a text book case for Seidel to duck.
I will be pleasantly surprised if Jax and Seidel meet up from a competition standpoint. Still, it would mean one less undefeated conference champion entering NCAA seeding. And it might put Jax in a slightly less desirable position for peaking at NCAAs, having competed in two tournaments just before, assuming he goes to a later tournament.
