otherwise the comment from the MSU admin that "we would continue to recruit him as any other player" makes no sense anymore. By January, Cam had already signed with Auburn. By that time there was no need for us to recruit him in any form.

....when Kramer retired, Slive was brought in to clean up the SEC's reputation and keep teams off of probation. He issued a directive that compliance matters be turned into the SEC office, and that's what happened here. I think the SEC fully intended to sweep this under the rug to preserve the good name and the superior status of the conference. For whatever reason, rumors got out on the internet, someone turned it over to the NCAA, and a report was about to happen.

Bond's move to talk was to preemptively protect Mississippi State.

My sinking feeling is that in doing so, we have probably ticked off the SEC and Auburn.

This is what I have feared. Slive's policy of turn your back to whats going on is what will 17 us. If this goes deep this could go all SWC on us. That would suck.
