I wouldn’t expect crowds at the remaining home games. You can’t build excitement without getting one or two big wins in front of your home crowd. We had 3 chances. 0-3. And no, to the tards I blocked, OM is not a big win. They are a middle of the road team.

At one point the announcer said: “Josh Hubbard is so short, defenders are able to defend his shot without leaving their feet.” OUCH
Man, that should be motivational jet fuel.

That's why he jumps 3 feet up on his jump shot and swishes it in their ugly faces.

It might help if we had some semblance of an offensive game plan.
Very true. There is no offense being run, no one looking for open team mates other than Cam. Hubbard needs to look for an open teammate when he is covered With two guys on him. He rarely if ever does.

Hubbard is a shot first, shot second, shot third guard. That has permission to shoot at any time…. Keep in mind he’s easily one of the worst defenders in the league.

find any team in the country that wins at a high level when their best player has those traits.

there are lots of issues offensively but Hubbard needs to be reined in is on the list

He needs to, but the transfers (Kugel, Harris, Morondez) have shown time and time again that they can’t shoot and prove the reasons why they were in the portal.
Statistically games like tonight come down to +5 three pointers made. 5 shots made and our 5 shots missed. Game over. They are not reliable most games. That being said one might get hot eventually before the season ends.

Missouri would have been a big win 0-4.

Kugel is AWOL, and no one else can reliably hit even a wide open 3. Give Hubbard the green light who cares
Again.. Hubbard nearly got more shots than the other 4 starters combined… and he shot 33% from the field… if Hubbard is on fire, I get it… but he’s not and hasn’t been in a while … it’s a major issue

What about Cam and Murphy ? He’s not looking to do anything but force up a shot. Can’t play like that at this level. Teams that utilize all five players with ball movement have a huge advantage.

Yes it's a team chemistry killer but we don't have the luxury of talent to rely on. Lately those other 4 players are not shooting well from the perimeter. And Hubbard is the only chance of a spurt of points sadly

What’s frustrating is that we haven’t had consistent 3 point shooting since Rick Stans was on the sidelines. Name a team that was consistent in that area since? Maybe like 2018-2019 and that is it. I swear someone on staff is teaching these guys some bad mechanics or something bad mentally. That’s the only explanation. I mean look at the last two years, we started out well from 3 and have slowly got worse and worse. Idk if a rase in competition l is the problem we are getting open looks, just not hitting at all. I swear we need a really good sports phycologist at MSU in the most desperate of ways

Just look at Harris he hit 7 or 8 3s the very first game, and hasn’t looked nearly the same since. Look at that kid last year number 11, he hit a bunch during the Arizona game and barely played the rest of the year

Just look at Sean Taylor last year he was supposed to be money. He barely saw the floor. I’m pretty convinced someone on staff is bad ju ju and need to get fired. I look at brooks because he was her during the Rick Ray years, and also the final year of Stan’s. Get rid of him already

Remember the good old days a few weeks back when yall were making excuses for this need and saying there was no need to freak out about losing a road game. I mean if you knew basketball you would know how hard it is to win on the road. And the home losses ?? Well it's Auburn. The chickens have come home to roost. We will be right where we normally are. Bubble team one and done. It's a shame. I had my hopes up for a little while too.
