Okay... Scott is doing a good job at State. But he's had to deal with one think after another since he stepped in to the AD job. Sidney, Dee Bost, Cam, Mullen to Miami, and now Mullen to Florida. Not to mention that he had to work overtime for the Gator Bowl when State should have been in the Chick-Fal-A Bowl.

In hind sight, Scott should have had a contract extension in place before the end of the season. But hey nobody saw the Florida Job coming. Urban couldn't get it done without Mullen.

Forgive me if I don't have a lot of sympathy for Scott having to do what he gets paid for.

I have been of the mindset that he has completely missed with Mullen and the contract ext. I just don't understand why we have not taken care of OUR OWN business.

Then again, I don't know both sides of the negotiations that have been taking place and one side may be asking for something unreasonable.

He doesn't get any sympathy or praise for just doing his job. He wants praise, let Mullen be our coach again next year and I will give him a pat on the back.

That and let another school hire Stans away. Yeah, right.

Now we get to see what he is made of and why Byrne was so high on him taking his place.

Dang... Man I'm just saying no other AD in the SEC has been under this much pressure save Jay Jacobs @ Auburn. And everybody knows Jay Jacobs is a puppet for Pat Dye and Colonial Bank Bobby Lowder...

So the point is Scott got to be feeling the pressure. And he needs to get Mullen signed to a new contract ASAP.

Actually he never would have hired Mullen,.....probably would have gone with some no-name OC.

Now, he may leave, and probably will, but I suspect it's not Strickin's fault that a new contract has not been signed.
Last year, many of you guys were all hyped up over not knowing who our new D coordinator was going to be. But Dan did not get in a hurry, and worked through it.
I'm quite sure Stricklin has been trying...but you had to know, after last year, that the Meyer deal would likely come up again, especially after a 7-5 season.
