I guess you never know, but given recent performance I'm surprised we are a favorite. Anything that has looked close or a pick 'em through the last half of the season has gone the other way for this team. Anyway, hope the odds are right on and we see a bowl win to close out the season.

Maybe the explanation is simple, Penn State draws more people betting on games than Arkansas.

Let's remember, a football betting line is an attempt to find a point where half of the betting public picks one side... and the other half feel equally strong that the best bet is on the other side. It is as much a study of the betting psychology than anything else.

in the marketplace of people who would bet on this game, it is hard to see half the bettors putting their $$$$ on PSU, given the last 7 games of the season.

Arkansas is similar to PSU this year I think but with fewer blown games. They lose to Bama by a TD, and get blown out/shut out by Georgia. They lost by double digits to Auburn, the only unranked opponent they lost to. So outside of unranked Auburn, their losses were to the #'s 1, 3, and 8 teams at the time they played. I think we our advantage is on D, as is theirs. Have to hope for a healthy Clifford with Dotson and Brisker deciding it's worth playing. Finding a running game (maybe the FL RBs will be hyped to play near home?) would help too.

Please not another bowl performance like we had against kentucky. That was brutal. kentucky played well. We played like we didn’t give a sh|t.
Worse, but excusable, was the Houston game after the Sandusky stuff. No one wanted to play that game.

If anything PSU going to a warm Florida bowl against a FBS school that PSU has never played in it's history, plus an SEC opponent should be a motivator. If they were going to the Pinstripe or Nashville with a colder surrounding i'd be more concerned about motivation.

Benny Snell owned us.
This screen print says alot about our offense that game. 1:46 left in the 3rd Qtr and Penn St had a total of 20 yards offense.
On the next play that happened Snell went 12 yards and the score became 27-7.
