Its not great, but its a major step in the right directions.

I'd love to see more breweries open up and even have some brewpub type restaurants. I don't know if this bill has any affect on that at all.

I read somewhere that Mississippi Law provides us to have higher than 8% content, because we weight alcohol differently?

Anyone confirm this?

Also, when does this go into effect?

MS and UT are the only two states in the nation that measure alcohol content by weight (ABW). Alcohol by volume, which is what the beer industry uses, is approximately 1.25 x ABW. Therefore, 8% ABW is roughly 10% ABV. <div>
