Burns seems to be the question mark in CC. What’s the bright spots/players that can help Burns find some traction?
Final 24- 6 Mooresville. I will say about Hickory they are going to be dangerous in 5A. last two scores for Mooresville was reserves in.

I think this season patience is key. We play a 5A team that is loaded and then play a talented 6A before going to conference play. The team needs time to figure out who needs to play where even if that means some play both ways. Once playoffs get here or maybe even sooner, Burns can be a damn good 4A team to watch out for.
If we can settle on a QB and not run Max to death we'll be ok. Gotta get QB figured out though
Not sure of the players but learning these teams and players. They seem to have speed and talent that can be a good team come years end.
Didn’t get a chance to make it to any games tonight. Probably headed to some baseball tomorrow though. From the game last week I thought #12 would be the QB but it doesn’t sound like they’re settled on that yet. Not sure of names but noticed a few numbers last week. #10 and 75 were a handful on defense. Thought #12 threw it well when given time. #0 looks like he can play anywhere and is trouble on both sides of the ball. Can’t wear him out because you’ll need that type of player at the end of games and especially at the end of the season. If I missed anyone fill me in. Trying to decide where to head next Friday night.
Burns fans don’t talk or share things about their players like the other CC teams.
We looked pretty good. Still need some work. Definitely have plenty of size and speed. We need a kicker badly. We lost our great kicker we've had for several years to graduation. I was really surprised how we played against a very solid Marvin Ridge. They were also big and had more depth than we have.
You mentioned kickers a couple times how did the JM kicker look? He has been kicking since a freshman on varsity. Did he play?
Yeah he was solid the whole game. Pretty deep kickoffs and hit every XP.
Personally I’m not a fan of giving out injury reports either. In the past it has happened and I’m like why??? Make them practice use up practice time thinking we’re full strength.
Hey Man! I yelled at you as you were leaving the concession stand as there was a big crowd around. I know you couldn't hear, but I did see the Iredell Sports Authority. Hickory will compete in the 5A classification this year. The Red Tornadoes are still trying to get some game experience for the talent they have. Some haven't seen a lot of action due to the talent we've had the last two years. Mooresville is loaded with talent. I liked their QBs and their front seven.
I’m meaning talking about players as of who will be your players to watch and the ones the team will be counting on. Other teams post info from X, film, etc. Don’t see Burns fans doing that at all.
Sorry I didn’t hear you. Or I definitely would have came over to talk with you. I don’t why but kept thinking Hickory was 6A. I will correct that above. Hopefully next time I will get to meet up with you.
J.M. Robinson pretty much had their way with East Meck. Could have been worse. J.M. had a couple scores called back on penalties. East has some talent just not enough. To be a bigger school they don't have much depth.
Having played for the school in the late 2000s it’s sad to see where the program is today, my understanding is that the kids see East as another Garinger and just don’t want to play there.
