man having to roll out Mikolas opening day pretty much sums it up. I'd be so pissed if I was a STL fan. Monty was available for 1 year 25 mil smh
Agreed. They probably upgraded the bullpen, but it still sucks too. On a normal staff, Mikolas is the 3rd starter at best.
I do think the bullpen is better and better I mean around middle of the MLB and that’s really because of depth rather than star power. Still not good, but stole one from the Dodgers last night.

First night of Sonny Grey. They had him on an 85 pitch count, but it was a good night. Bullpen looked good. I also don’t know if the Phillies are good or not at this point.
Sonny is a stud. The phillies are a streaky offense but they'll be fine

I think Elder will be up next. He had a pretty rough spring but has done pretty well in 2 starts at Gwinnett.

Might be a throw in to some deal but he's independently not adding much to a trade imo. He's 29 and has spent 6 years in AAA with .724 OPS in over 1,000 PA there. I think the Braves value him as emergency fill in option for a short stretch and the plan I would guess is eventually Drake will take his ABs in Gwinnett.
