to be announced Tuesday. Full schedule and dates announced in December. Get your final predictions in now.

OM
Kentucky
Bama
I hope we get Bama every year. We won't but we need them and we need to figure out how to beat them. OM - yes, of course.

Then either Arky or Kentuck.

Tennessee's 3 have leaked. If this is true, Tennessee is in the second tier and Auburn would be in the first tier.

That's ********. Get rid of the rivalry games. If they want to play a rivalry game play it but make it the one P4 game, you have to play and not a SEC game.

That’s a great deal for them. And their 3 biggest rivals. Not sure if the Tier 1/ Tier 2 thing is going to be strictly held. If Auburn is tier 1 they theoretically can’t play both Bsma & Georgia. And you know they will.

I think A&M. For some reason the SEC thinks we’re rivals.
I would be ok with A&M. That would be our higher tier team. I could live with that. We seem to play the really well every year even if we lose the game. Personally, I think the SEC view them higher than they actually are.

Feels like a nudge to try and get Tennessee back to their old status without upsetting the apple cart. They want them up there with Bama, UGA, Texas, LSU, and Florida.

Also think this eliminates Vandy and Kentucky as a possibilities to be Auburn’s 3rd team. Vandy will get Kentucky, OM, Tennessee. Kentucky will get Tennessee, MSU, Vandy. That leaves only MSU and Arkansas as possibilities for Auburn’s 3rd team. I’m betting that it’s MSU.

That's exactly what that means. If they are tier 1 they have to play 2 other tier 1s and one bottom. If this leak is true. OM will be our tier 1 which most likely means 2 of UK Aub and Ark are our other 2. Aub will have Bama GA and 1 bottom, possibly us.

I doubt Vandy gets Mississippi or us.

Vandy / OM have met 98 times….one of the longest running SEC rivalries. And sadly….its actually more competitive than the Egg Bowl. OM holds a 54-40 edge, with 4 ties.

It’s extremely unlikely they break that up. OM’s likely gotta have another have-not program to go along with us and LSU. It won’t be Kentucky or South Carolina. Don’t see why it wouldn’t be Vandy.

Ole Miss is not a Tier 1 team under any criteria.

If you look at last 5 years, they’re easily tier 1.

Perhaps I should have said “any reasonable criteria”. If you look at 1963-1968 they’d be Tier 1 as well. But realistically, only selecting such a short period of time doesn’t make a lot of sense.

To prove this out, he “last 5 years” Tiers look like this. OM, LSU, and A&M are all tied for 5th at 25 wins. Freakin Mizzou is in there 8th, at 22 wins.

Tier 1:
Bama
UGA
Texas
Oklahoma
Texas A&M
LSU
Ole Miss
Mizzou

Tier 2:
Florida
Tennessee
Auburn
Arkansas
Kentucky
South Carolina
MSU
Vandy

If you think the league is going to support a tier system that has half of Tier 1 comprised of OM, Mizzou, and two teams that weren’t even in the league 2 years ago (one of which has a losing record against the current SEC over last 5 years), AND put Florida, Auburn, and Tennessee in the 2nd tier, then I don’t really know what to tell you.

People dividing up the tiers this way are probably the source of the Ole Miss/Kentucky/Vanderbilt rumors for us. I just don't see it.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t. Other than a few big rivalry games it really doesn’t matter much who plays who. It’s not like Florida Auburn & Tennessee aren’t going to have any attractive big games if they’re in tier 2.
