specifically the clock than anything. Reason being because I wouldn't want one of my pitchers rushing through their warm-ups and then they come down with a strain or something like that.

I think starting the games earlier and eliminating taking infield are good ways to go as far as speeding up the game.

I think MLB is 12 seconds and those guys have significantly more to lose if they get hurt. Of course, it's enforced about .0000000000000001 of the time in MLB too, so it's not like it matters.

That's more than plenty of time. And it's a hell of a lot better than having games not even start until after 10:00 and end at 2:00AM on weeknights (11:00 and 3:00AM for any fans who might be watching or listening from the Eastern time zone, where 5 of the SEC schools are located).

the warm-up pitches before the inning starts. Not the actual pitches to the batter. They are giving 90 seconds to get nine pitches in. And while that's maybe enough time, the fact that there's a clock is going to force the pitcher during warm-ups in the back of his head to say, "I've got to get these in or else"- I just don't like that. If they would bump it up to even 100 seconds, I could deal with that.

But I did often wonder why they didn't start the games sooner. Heck, I would have actually started them at 8 AM in the morning, or use Rickwood Field for a game that looked to be the least attended.

And going to 100 seconds would only add about 10 minutes to the day. However, this is coming from the coaches. I'm sure if they thought 90 seconds wasn't enough time, they'd have come up with another number.

seriously, I started college in Fall 2005, declaring that I'd make the trip to Hoover every year, unless on the off-chance we didn't make it one year. Four years and one trip later, I'm officially sick of sitting at home while 8 other teams are playing over there.
