13 games by playing everyone

You cant say we will just play the SEC West twice- because there are 6 other West teams now- not 5

Obviously, we will play Mississippi twice- making 14 of our 18 games- what other 4 teams do we play twice?

then rotate the other 12 schools so we play each of them twice every third year. The old East-West schedule was going to go away next year even if the SEC didn't expand. The only reason they kept it last year was the schedules had already been done when they decided to do away with the divisions.

you would play twice every year (i.e for MSU - Ole Miss & Alabama ) - then you would rotate the remaining 3 three teams you play twice every year among the rest of the teams in the league

Similar to what they do in football with one common eastern division opponent (i.e for MSU- Kentucky) then rotate the other two cross divisional opponents

I wrote this then:

I'm thinking we play all the other SEC teams at least once with two permanent 2-game opponents (UM & Alabama?) and rotate three per year so that we're guaranteed a home-away matchup with every other SEC school at least once every four years (with one of those rotating schools being twice every four years).

And I'm sticking with my prediction.

2 permanent opponents if would probably create more balanced scheduling for the entire league. But logistically, it does not really work. It makes much more sense for travel costs , etc for our team to jump on a bus and go play in Tuscaloosa every year then to fly to Columbia South Carolina or Columbia Missouri for a home and home.
