I actually watched SEC Nation this weekend over gameday and enjoyed it more. It's all SEC.

Now getting Gameday is a much bigger thing but the actual show - I would choose SEC Nation. I do not care to watch the features on the Big 10 WR who runs a 4.8 40.

I almost wish I could be a fly on the wall in Oxford this weekend. Peep's gone

be working overtime to impress, should be interesting.

Gameday has its moments, but you can take the parts worth viewing each Saturday and boil them down to a 10 minute highlight reel. I'd rather watch Premier League on Saturday morning and switch over at 11, but that's just me.

Gameday messed up when they moved from a 2-hour show to a 3-hour show. There's now an hour's worth of junk that isn't interesting every week.

We will get both this year so they have a chance to prove me wrong.

EXACTLY! It was already 70% crap at 2 hours, 3 hours moved it up to 90% crap. And, yes, GAMEDAY is a much bigger thing for the school, exposure and all. But, for the show alone, I do prefer watching SEC Nation much more.

The move to 3 hours made the show much worse.

I used to never miss Gameday, but now having young kids with so much going on my Saturday mornings don't even allow it. We're going to have to skip our usual soccer games to make our 11:00 game so I won't even see it this week.

Ultimately, Gameday is huge marketing for Ole Miss and a lot of fun for them for 3 hours on Saturday. But immediately after the crew leaves all anyone will remember will be who won on the field. If we win and they lose on their biggest day in modern history, it will sting that much worse.

I'm Gameday all the way...

Finebaum can't go off script, Tebow is uncomfortable and Booger reminds me of the character on East Bound and Down that was Kenny's rival on the sports talk show.

It will be cool to have them there but I'm excited we could make it tough for Gameday not to come next week if we and Auburn take care of business.

I haven't watched it in years. As you say too much going on, I do good

to get to see a few games starting in the afternoon usually.

I've never watched SEC Nation, but I'm not really a big Gameday follower by any means. Its usually just on in the background at my house while I read the ipad or get ready to go to the game.

I think you guys are going to get gameday for Auburn, assuming you beat A&M and Auburn takes care of LSU. There is a rumor going around that we could host SEC Nation for the UT game. So we may both get both programs this year.

Isn't SEC nation supposed to go to all the SEC schools once each year?

Maybe I'm just getting older, but I find myself reading the news or picking up limbs in the yard on Saturday mornings now instead of watching the College Football talk shows. College Gameday is huge for Oxford though, and I'm hoping we get to host against Auburn next Saturday. Probably wont happen but one can hope...

I really don't watch that often anymore but once it looked we were getting SEC Nation - I wanted to actually watch the show and caught myself enjoying it because there is more MSU talk.

You can't go wrong with either. But if you have a choice, go with Samantha.

Gameday is a sweet to have but don't read too much into it....

It has very little to do with the venue. Gameday is not going to the plantation because the grove is so groovy. It is match-up driven plain and simple. It was at USC for crying out loud last week for USC and Mizzou. Had there been a higher ranked match-up they would have gone there. Alabama has more to do with gameday being in oxford than anything. They are #1 in the nation playing #11. Had our game been last week instead GD would have been at our place and it probably will be anyway on the 11th if we TCB and so does AU. GD has been at Vandy and UK for crying out loud. What does that tell you?

Don't get me wrong. It is way cool to host it and I hope we can soon. It also means that your team is doing pretty good but it does not mean you have reached the zenith of the CFB world.

Still a long shot, but if we got Gameday next weekend, we will have actually earned it with wins over LSU and aTm, not a preseason ranking and moving up by default. This is their first test - we will see what they actually have after this weekend.

I might not even switch at 11 if MSU isn't playing and there is a decent late game in the EPL.

gameday is better. booger, tebow, finebaum, and tessitore are the 4 horseman of the apocalypse in a bad way.

Yeah, I'll try to catch a little bit of both shows this weekend since its Mississippi schools. I'll mostly be watching more for the crowd action going on behind the commentators though. Should be some funny stuff.

No Booger involved. Marcus Spears is the other guy, but I am pretty much in agreement with your sentiment. If they ditched Finebaum and Spears, and let Tebow, McElroy and Tessitore do the show, it would be better. Throw Smoot in there, and they might really have something.

Well Spears is the East Bound and Down character and Bogger just seems like he..

really likes hugs and smiling. That mix up is on me.
