Despite their false bravado, they are wringing their hands over the fact that Mullen didn't bolt for Florida. They realize that we have a young, competent, energetic coach with a vision for giving MSU sustained success. Not only that, but he has the Egg Bowl game circled on the calendar every year and isfocusedon beating the Bears every year. After we kick them around again next year, their angst will reach a fever pitch and we'll be subjected to the PI treatment again from their crazed fan base. You know that it's only a matter of time.

why are several of our top recruits now soft verbals after setting up visits with other schools?

My theory (or hope ) is that they are just visiting to enjoy the experience of it and are gonna sign with us anyways......

If you set up a visit with another school, even if you come out and say it's just for the free meal and weekend, they list you as a soft verbal until you get back from your trip and re-affirm your commitment.

It's something like that.

I saw him in the grove before the egg bowl. He was visiting a tent of a bunch black bears that I happened to know. I thought I was about to be gang raped as I walked over there. They wouldn't let me come within 30 yards of him. They were (are) so worried about losing him that I couldn't help but laugh. I think if he wouldve asked for head from any of the dudes there, they would have gladly given it to him.
