Gonzaga was without one of their best players.

And if u think you can take one game to prove a point that's kinda ridiculous.

Gonzaga also beat almighty Duke.........WITH ZION

The same Gonzaga team that lost to St. Mary's. Tillie, and his whopping 6 points and 4 boards a game, must have missed that game, too.

so what........a quad 1 loss on a neutral court

what 1 seed doesn't have a loss like that?

You said Gonzaga is the better team. UNC beat them by 13 points. On a neutral court. Who cares if they were missing a 6 point and 4 rebound player. UNC was playing with a freshmen point guard. Anyone can use an excuse. All that other nonsense you typed is irrelevant and still doesn't change the fact of

UNC 103
Gonzaga 90

Feels like 2017 all over again.

Beat North Carolina in neutral site and had to play them again as a 1/2.

Except it's a bit of a reversal of sorts. This year, we have the dominating rebounding team and they have the dominant point guard.

They were a bad matchup for us in '17. We're a bad matchup for them this year.

it's funny how that happened.
I wonder if Michigan St knew that ahead of time they would have been like um no Michigan u win this big 10 title game lol

LOL.

That slot would have become a game of hot potatoes to play Duke.

Glad the committee finally hooked us up and threw us a bone for once.

Not looking to get in a pissing contest, but we were missing a starter and 3 rotation players and were still up on Virginia with under 8 to play. Actually, we've been without 2 rotation guys the entire second half of the season.

As for Duke, it took 31 from Zion, and horrible shooting on our part for them to win by a point on a neutral floor after we beat them soundly the first two games.

I feel good about our chances against either one of those teams should we meet them again.

Think about this. You always have some outcast in a meeting who does not like the implications being broadcast so they voice for the lesser, I feel thats our athletic director. He is over his head intimidated with the espn ACC biased committee so he takes what they dole out

That win over North Carolina and same record overall didn't mean a damn thing because they got 2 wins over Duke sans Zion.

Also the Duke losses without Zion all didn't matter apparently to jump Virginia.

BBN travels but the yum center in louisville would have boosted our fan support to a home game bunches. The ACC biased committee knew that ,hence the rollout from Louisville, I truly believe that. So so obvious

Because you can clearly tell who the best team is based on one game in a season.

This obviously means we are better than UNC, Gonzaga is better than Duke, and St. Marys is better than Gonzaga.

I was just watching CBS Network show they said the committee said Tennessee would been a one seed with a win..............so the game on Sunday did matter. So if Tennessee had won and MSU had lost we would got the South.

Another thing people miss is the travel times to get from a to z. That takes its own ttolls on those involved from travel to gettin ready for the game. Tell me those times are not milked

EARLY. Duke is YOUNG TOO.

Gonzaga beating them doesn’t matter too much because it was a Super Bowl game for the Zags and Duke is YOUNG.

Why do we only get this with UK.

You’re consumed with stats and so you miss what’s right in front of you.

Gonzaga and Virginia are proven pretenders.

UNC would SLAUGHTER St. Mary’s.

TODAY, in MARCH.

Virginia’s system doesn’t perform well in these tournaments. But by all means, rack up a bunch of worthless stats from September or February against Wake, home games against NCState, and form that opinion.

Or look at countless meaningless games of Gonzaga against mighty peach basket nuns of 1800. It’s irrelevant in real life.

This is dumb. The committee set it up with a lot of winks and nods. It’s easy to see and plain as day. They’re thinking exactly what I am.

Barnhart might be a ***** but the 2 seed is because we blew an 8 point lead in Nashville.

It isn't just one though. We probably have more Quad-1A wins than Gonzaga has Quad 1 games.

That's an easier argument to make for probably a half-dozen other teams than Gonzaga.

If Wofford was playing MSU in 2nd round as their 7 I would think Wofford would have had a great chance to beat them.

I don't see MSU beating LSU.

I see now.

To be honest, I never said UNC wasn't better.

All I said was 1) You can't tell that from one game back in the beginning of the season and 2) The Zags would be favored by Vegas

Both are true.

TBH this thread has gotten so derailed i don't even know what team u are fighting for lol

Not saying Gonzaga isn't a good team. They're very good. I just don't think they're more deserving of a 1 seed than any of the top 3 ACC schools or arguably UK or UT or MSU. Based on their overall body of work.
