Like 51 million for OU guy..

Was there some conference for AD's where they were encouraged to give coaches these ridiculous long contracts? It seems so dumb and handcuffs the university. Make it work both ways and if the coach lays an egg for 2 years in a row the school can terminate at a reduced rate.

I’ve spent all night on Twitter after the last 3 wins. Oklahoma fans are extremely unhappy with Venables. Most want him gone and even the ones that don’t say they wish they could fire him but keep him as defensive coordinator. At the very least they want a new offensive coaching staff. Though I did see some say Witten is the only one who should be kept. Seems they know he’s the key to keeping Driver.

Also funny each of the last 3 weeks USCjr, LSU and OU fans spent game week patting UK fans on the head and saying we were in for a rude awakening. There were even quite a few, mainly lsu fans, who were pretty nice (likely due to them thinking they’d roll over us.) Then after the game is over it completely flipped. The butthurt was flowing. LSU fans blamed the refs and said we were lucky and a bad team. There’s still LSU fans making UK related posts even now. OU fans were disgusted that they lost to a “basketball school.” They said we only won due to Mateer and Arbuckle and that our team sucks or is below average at best.

You should go on little brothers message board and see the coping. They think Wake Forest would win the SEC and they are stoked about barely beating Syracuse lol.

And they are stupid and always have been, they talk big and hate the SEC because the SEC would never extend an invitation to them to join because they would bring no value and weaken the conference.

Venables may get fired this year. Unlike UK basketball recently, Oklahoma won't put up with losing in football very long.

Pope has only been here two seasons. Venables is in his fifth season with two losing seasons and is currently 3-3. He has a 60.3 winning percentage and very likely will return for next season. Your comparative claim sounds even sillier considering he had two losing seasons in his first three and survived.

Stats from the OU game tell a different story.
OU won in every category including passing .
OU lost the game due to interceptions & a great Defensive performance by the BLUE TEAM.

Agree on Driver being a great player & hope he flips.
But OU is a football school where players are treated like ROYALTY.
