I think it needs to be said that the Senior Day “ceremony” was a disappointment at the least and a disrespectful kick in the crotch to the players, families, and fans at the worst. I and my gang came in early to say thanks to those seniors who have dedicated a lot to the program and endured some tough times.

Hobbs and Schiano need to take a big hit on this one. Having Hobbs give flowers and hugs to families in the end zone with no Schiano and no players was unreal. I couldn’t believe what I was watching.

Now the next time I hear about getting in the stadium early etc to help the team (which I support) I would respectfully say to just let it be. If Schiano and Hobbs aren’t going to put together a proper send off for these guys, why should we worry about it?

Can you imagine if you were a recruit and/or their families watching this? You’re going to ask me to give blood sweat and tears to this program and after that this is the thanks I get? No thanks.

I know this is a nit but it really was a shame. No excuse for it.

West Point does Senior Day really well, with players and parents out on the field in a line along the hash marks. They all get announced individually before the game. Superintendent greets them individually

Schiano needed to be in the locker room for his pregame planning for the game. A brilliant strategy and preparation we saw again from 2.0

They also had their backs to the majority of the stadium. Maybe facing the student section is a priority, but they were all the way in the end zone and it was as if there was no ceremony at all. Pretty sad after these kids give so much to the school.

Maybe Greg and the defensive staff were busy preparing the defense for the first few series by Maryland. . . . .

I do agree with you- I was wondering why it was not more special for the seniors.
