Pitt in the BET will always remind me of 91. I go with some work friends, not shu fans, and was so freaked out that we were losing I was looking at my shoes, could not bear any more of the game, as Ollie Taylor makes the game winner for us, and it wouldnt be the last time he did that.
I have a vivid memory of that Pitt tournament game . I was presenting a case to the State Grand Jury that day ( coincidentally it involved a college basketball team ) . Told my friends not to tell me the result of the Hall game . When I came out of the Grand Jury they said too bad your team lost .
Drove home thinking the Pirates had lost . Put on the tape of the game to see how the Pirates went down . As Taylor drove down the court in the last seconds I'm thinking he doesn't score . Taylor scores and I'm elated .

Left work early for that one. Had to drive from Newark to Tewksbury/Califon. Got home to catch the 2nd half. Ended up on the floor screaming with joy.
I was there in a section of nothing but Booster Club Hall fans. We were all staying in the hotel across the street for the entire tournament. When they won at the buzzer we all went crazy,
THAT IS SIMPLY INCREDIBLE. I may have known this, but I dont remember ever hearing it before.
One thing I loved when they still gave us programs at the games, our three top season rebounding marks all lead the nation, Dukes, Mosely and Delgado.
Have to agree with Rothstein. Coaches and schools should be doing everything to give more access to their teams. If they don't promote their own product, who will?
Sha shouldn't be shutting the media out every Summer and should get onboard with other major programs who open the doors and/or broadcast/livestream all 3 allowable exhibitions/scrimmages. The Monmouth game is a good first step, it should be embraced and cultivated.
And we wonder why 400 fans show up for the workout….weren’t we supposed to see a material change in Sha’s transparent and program access?
