Serious question. Do we really come back from this?

R we done? Do we have the leaders? The mindset? The talent?

I truly truly hope I’m wrong, but this can rip a team apart.

Let’s see how good of a psychologist Pike is.

Sunday is for all the marbles….If they haven’t left them in Minnesota.

Mentally this is going to be a huge task to bounce back from

This team does tend to dig deep when people don't expect it though

I could see a big win or a collapse. Neither would really surprise me
Exactly

I think we come back and play a strong game. Whether it is good enough to win, we shall see.

With Michigan losing we win against NW we’re in. I think we’re in anyway with one win either NW or 1st round B1G

Who does the committee take
18-win Rutgers
19-win Michigan
17-win Wisconsin
18 or 19-win PSU if they make a run in the B1Gs

Scary question to think about

I think Cliff and Cam will play hard but zero expectations from the other 3. Simpson needs to play 30 minutes against Northwestern with his speed advantage.

I don't think these guys fold. They're going to come out and fight on Sunday. I just wish they'd have been fighting harder tonight, in the much more winnable game.

I just don't know if we have enough to beat NU right now, but their backs will be against the wall and they might pull it off.

Last time we beat them by 3 at their place in a game where Spencer went off for 23 pts on 6-7 from three and we shot 11-18 from the arc as a team.... and while Mag only played 15 minutes, he had 9 points on .800 shooting while he was on the court.

If we use the last few years of history the answer is yes.

We are going to find out Sunday night if the players learned from their heartbreaking OSU loss earlier this season. The carryover caused us to lose the SHU game, too.
This. That's my worry. I hate to say it, but I think they will play tight. Knowing they have to win, I see a lot of missed bunnies and free throws ahead.

RU has found a way to come out on top in regular-season finales with HUGE implications in recent years. We can only hope it continues on Sunday night.

March 7, 2020 - Rutgers wins at Purdue, 73-70, in OT.

March 6, 2021 - Rutgers wins at Minnesota, 77-70, in OT.

March 8, 2022 - Rutgers holds on to beat Penn State, 59-58, at the RAC.

March 5, 2023 - ???????

This can be a program destroying loss.

High probability it’s like the 2006 WVU game. You need to seize the moment or lose momentum.

All of those teams had great leadership and a go to guy on offense. This team has neither.

"Program destroying?"

3 straight NCAA bids vs. 2 straight NCAA bids & an NIT bid following an epic collapse.
It makes a big difference in the story you can tell recruits.

We’re still in a recruiting hole. Just so much dead unplayable weight on the roster. That needs to be cleared out and having that third straight bid helps tell the story to accomplish that part.
