I think you're right about what they mean, but it doesn't prove that he's in the gang. Hell when I was in Junior High their were guys that threw up the "W" for Westsiiiiide, but they were in no way affiliated with the boys in Compton or wherever the hell that gang is at.

He could very well be in the gang, but at the same time he could just as easily be trying to be hard and act like he's up on the gang knowledge. I will admit that if it's just to be hard, he's a little old for that and it shows a lack of maturity for sure. And if he is actually in the gang, then he is a little old for that and shows a lack of maturity.

Examples below...(I'm sure my boy Ozarka threw up a few of these in his Junior High days. As Swag was being created)...

I think that pop culture gang hand signs are a bit different than throwing out obscure gang references that only other gang members and gang investigators would understand.

The patriotic aspect alone should bring a tear to your eye. Look for the full coverage in the next issue of Christianity Today. Or better yet, be looking for Shepard Smith's upcoming exposé on Fox News.

Yes who gives a crap.

And yes these are two very different areas of the country. But its a fact that MS has a very strong connection with Chicago, in regards to the black community.
There is a pipe line....and family in both parts.
