Didn't we run no huddle with Lee and Relf. Seems like I remember our entire team looking to sideline after being set. Why have we slowed our pace when everyone else in the country has sped theirs up?

Because no one could understand Relf

In the huddle due to his speech issue. I heard Mullen say it in person. We ran a very simple read option offense that worked. We need to go back to that but Tyler is not cut out for that type offense. He needs to be in a pro set.

TR doesn't run fast, he doesn't make reads fast, and he doesn't get rid of the ball fast. What makes you think he could run a fast offense?

Only at MState could you have a 5th year senior QB that is a square peg in a round hole.

Why does Dan seem to feel obligated to play Tyler if he isn't the right fit for his offense? If you think Dak is the better QB for this offense, then you play him. This isn't jr. high or high school football. It's the SEC. Play the people that will win you games. It's ridiculous that it will take until Mullen's 6th year until he has a quarterback he recruited to lead the offense he wants to run.

yall remember what we tried to do in mullens first and second season? his first play from scrimmage was a reverse pass to or from bumphis...cant remember. we have settled into a bog of mediocrity and it all started with a qb that wasnt intended for his system and unimaginative play calling. when was the last time we scored 3 points? thats just 17ing pathetic.

Man... those Relf years were so much fun. None of those players on offense were very good besides Ballard but they got it done. Seems like forever ago. Fire Russell!!11!!!1!

If we benched Russell we'd never get another QB to step foot on this campus. Of course I know that's not true, but consider the backlash we'd get through *** wipes like Chris Kiffin telling anyone remotely good the accurate story about Tyler Russell. It'd be the only thing he wouldn't be lying about but it'd have the most impact of anything out there. Of course the other side of that coin is we already can't get a QB to step foot on campus................ maybe we should just do it. 17 it, man.

I've heard 1,000 times from Mullen how it doesn't matter and that he's had QB's in the past like Chris Leak who weren't dual threats but he's full of ****. Chris Leak might as well have been a dual threat since they ran Tebow right there with him, and Alex Smith had like 230283092385 rushing yards Bo Wallace-style at Utah. Russell ran for 10 today and looked like he got shin splints from it when he got up from the slide.

I want Mullen just once in his tenure to get mad or something and quit feeding me PC ******** from behind the microphone. That guy might be an *** to his players and coaches but it comes in the package of a push over with no mean streak to the general public. Give me Hud. He goes home every day and gets beat up by his wife AND LIKES IT.

THE SENIOR MSU QB CURSE CONTINUES!

you can run a fast paced, no huddle offense with a pro-style QB. see brady, tom and every texas tech QB for the last 15 years or so. we ran no huddle a couple of times for 1 or 2 plays and okst never seemed to get lined up probably on those handful of plays.

the problem is that for going on 2+ years now, dan gets into a big game and plays not to lose instead of playing to win. he tries to worry about slowing everything down and not making mistakes when the game is close (i.e. 1st down run up the gut > 2nd down swing pass > 3rd down draw > punt) when we should be putting the opposing D on their heels. i'm not saying play stupid, but for the love of god, just show some aggressiveness on offense. we haven't done that since 2010.

To be fair, Dan can't seem to get a QB to step on campus anyway.

I thought Dak threw it pretty well yesterday and is a good college qb. He fits our offense and gives us the best chance to win.
Will the coaching staff use this opportunity to make a change? I don't think it would hurt our recruiting at all. TR has played a lot of football at MSU.

Dak entered at a terrible time for him. His passes should almost be like trick plays not expected. If dak starts a game he would be much more effective

Russell got the shin splints from his little cam newton superman jig routine after ripping off the mammoth 10 yarder.

Maybe we should just wheel him out there. Get the fastest guy on the team to line up at TB and his job will be to push TR around in a wheelchair... redefine "mobile" QB.
