now that the real work has started? People have been shouting from the mountain tops how lazy our entire 17ing program was over the past 6 years and there's way too many people who just can't seem to understand why there'd be a mass exodus once we made a culture change...

Do I want these guys to leave? Hell 17ing no.... but if they ain't prepared to work hard, then GTFO. This **** shouldn't be as baffling as you clowns are making it out to be.

who would have thought our "good attitudes" would be hitting the trail. Again, you're right, if they don't want to work and represent the institution 17 em

who said we had any "good attitudes" ? nothing was expected from those in the program with regards to books or to conditioning or to being a team player and so that is what was left. It was a dumpster fire before and now everything in the dumpster is burning up, that leaves nothing at the bottom.

If Lewis or Steele or Hood don't want to be here, don't want to be leaders then it would have been a rudderless ship anyway. We want people wearing maroon and white jerseys who want to be here.

Ray's style is very similar to Cohen and Mullen, he is not a "goshdarnit" guy like Polk or Stansbury...**** just got real for some young men

If Ray can't go out and get a player better than Wendell Lewis then he just needs to leave now.

steele, lewis, and hood didn't seem to be the problems from an effort/chemistry standpoint. to me it signifies ray's inability to sell the current most experienced trio on campus on his vision and changing the way things work. throw in gray, ware, and swords having various rumors anticipating their request to be released form their LOIC, and i wonder why ray can't sell his vision to them. and i worry it's not going to get easier for ray to sell the program moving forward coming off a 8-25 type season next year.

every other negative rumor has become reality. and ray didn't endear himself to the benefit of the doubt with these rumors by not convincing hood that he could flourish here. but given the wendell lewis tweets, sounds like he's gone. outside of the pure need for semi-capable bodies, i'd normally be fine with lewis leaving, but at this point it's just throwing more gas on the fire.

stans had to go, but we also made about the worst/most uninspired/questionable hire we could possibly make. hell, at least payne brought the opportunity to get back in the pollard race, MS connections, and a ring to flash around. he could hire seasoned assitants to help him along. from a credibility standpoint, payne would have been a much more credible hire for msu with recruits and the current players.

i hope ray is a godsend, but i'm having a damn hard time seeing anything positive about it right now. i kept my mouth shut on here until hood said he was leaving. you can't lose a player like hood and expect to have the confidence of the fanbase.
