I do think some of the anger between the two fanbases has come from this season looming. We both have some questions marks and we're ready to see how it'll shake out.

No sarcasm: good luck this year. Here's hoping the Egg Bowl is for something more than twelve months of bickering between Nafoom/Spirit and Sixpack/Gene's Page.

Seriously, I think it was discussed last year, but I don't think our fanbases could handle it if the Egg Bowl had the implications that the Civil War (Oregon/Oregon State) had last year, where they were playing a winner-take-all for the Rose Bowl.

Now, the most we could play for in an Egg Bowl would be a West title, but I think that would cause riots in this state. I don't know if I could stand to lose an Egg Bowl with that much on the line.

The only thing the Egg Bowl will be for you guys is a chance to keep from going oh-fer in the west. A small chance, but a chance none-the-less.

(just kidding...I know you Rebs have been testy lately so you may not detect the sarcasm)

I didn't say one word to ole miss homers when i heard he was ineligible, but, last hour already getting texts, He's cleared, bad for them dogs. I have never hoped the rebs to win any games, and won;t unless it would help us win the west. No I'm not one of those guys who pulls for teams just because they are from MS.

My mom graduated Southern Miss and my sister graduated State undergrad and for vet school.

Went to MSMS, so about half of my high school friends graduated State.

I really have a hard time hating on MSU people, quite a few of my best friends follow State... but it doesn't mean I have to like your football team, either. I posted what I did because it seems that some people have let this stuff get in their head and become personal. I wish you well, sure, but it is because I want to beat a good opponent for our bowl resume.

Not like I wouldn't offer any of you guys a drink if I spotted you in the grove. Okay, maybe not "any", but "most."

I want a 11-0 MSU versus a 0-11 Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl. I want State to win 58-0, go for two every time, have Relf score with no time left on the clock, and celebrate the touchdown by whipping out his junk and screwing Powe in the earhole of his helmet while screaming "Hep diss bidness *****!".
