Man this board can suck the life out of a State fan. If it ain't basketball... It's baseball. Just gotta be negative about something. And how in the 17'ing hell can someone predict what another head baseball coaches record would be at this point in Cohen's tenure. WHAT A JOKE. I'll agree, Cohen may make some questionable decisions but he's still one hell of a baseball coach and we should be more than thankful to have him. But instead, it looks like our fans (SixPackSpeak in particular) are going to try and run him off.

there appears to be a good number of posters during those seasons that understand the games and know when to hit the panic button and when to look at the big picture.

With baseball on this board it is different. It is like someone went out and signed up every short bus rider to come out and post every game. It is obvious many of the posters don't even understand the game. This is the most miserable time of the year on the pack. Even if we are winning a game, the same short bus riders are her bitching and moaning about single at bats.

One guy on our team will strike out his first at bat and there will be 4 threads about how we cannot hit, how he cannot hit, how he is worthless, and how Cohen should be fired. As soon as a first pitch is thrown, the front page here fills up with the largest gathering of dumbasses that I have ever seen. It really is comical to watch.

But unfortunately a percentage of our idiots think that's the way it should be. I truly think if every AD had the mindset of some of our idiot fans, there would be 3/4 of every baseball, basketball, and football coaches fired at the end of every season in Division 1.

..it's these ******** athletic programs sucking the life out of a state fan.

Ove the last couple of years, the Hump's atmosphere has been akin to a cemetery; the atmosphere @ Dudy-Noble has been akin to a ghost town.

That's what happens when the fanbase is constantly subjected to dreary mediocrity.

We have one SEC series this year. Do we need to say anything else?

WTF? It's the goddamn team that's sucking the life out of MSU baseball. Yet again. I can guarantee you that if we were 7-7 this board would be overwhelmingly positive about MSU baseball.

which is not a win by a long shot but it is a big improvement over where we have been. We have done this with 4 starters injured and playing a very young and inexperienced group of guys.

I know that a lot of those guys are back in some fashion but are not near 100%. Hell, 2 of them had fluid removed from their knees this week.

I know that regardless of what some here post, these guys are fighting to win a the damn game. These are not the pussies that Polk recruited here that didn't want to get dirty. Hell, how many times have we seen CT, who just came back from separating his shoulder dive for a ball with zero regard for re-injuring his shoulder?

I know that baseball is not won in one inning or with one at bat.

We are a semi-decent team. Why some of you expected us to put a national champion caliber team on the field this year is a little baffling to me.

We are a better team and still have some series left. The season is not over. Heck, if you had asked anyone at the start of this season how many we would win at South Carolina, my guess would be that everyone would have said we would get swept.

The abortion of a program that Cohen took over to where we are now is night and day. We have improved. Are we there yet, no. Do I like what I have seen, yes. We are playing hard and in close games, we are competing. If we are willing to stick with it, we are going to get over the hump and start winning these close games.

I agree that Cohen overcoaches in some games and tries to do a little too much when we should just go up there and swing away but I think he has us headed in the right direction.

Someone that actually recognizes wtf is going on with this program. Polk ran it in the ground worse than anyone could imagine and the injuries during the year we should be making progress and this is what you get. If we suck next year, start bitching.

And don't get caught up in what many have to say.
Yes, there are some negative MFer's on here.
Just roll with the flow, Some have no clue, some do, but after all this is a chat board.
