He wasn't stellar at St. Johns
No, but he was better than this, and that was 2 years ago. Guys typically get better, if not much better, as they get older and stay in college longer. That seems to apply even more so to kids like Wilcher who have talent. It's still early. It seems that him and every guard/wing not named Anderson is playing as tight as a drum right now offensively, at least in part because instead of playing they are turning to look at Holloway every 5 seconds for what to do.

They're favored to win the NEC.
Yes. And that plus Rod Strickland being the HC is all I knew about them going into tonight.

If anyone is "leaning on" the "this was a tournament team" angle to describe tonight, well I'm not with you there.

Spanarkel said on the broadcast that LIU was down a few of their best players, including their first team all league guard. Let's think about that for a second with what we just saw.

But it's early. So there's that.

Defense ok, better in the first half. Offense bad, really bad. Anderson only one with offense ability. Parker ok running the offense in the last 5 minutes. Copeland ok underneath the basket, made his foul shots. Play Thomas and Rodgers more. Strange but I like Dolinski. We need to be better.

Most of you jokers were disdainful when Anderson committed, I said it then, he's a player
He's definitely showing the most offensively right now and definitely seems the "least tight" of all the guards/wings. I don't know if that's personality, experience or him just being more comfortable right now. I'm not sure that's a good thing though long term.

Imagine Fisher isn’t eligible. That is a horrifying thought.
We'll be OK there IMO because I think he is going to be eligible. The NCAA isn't having that much success in these court cases because of their rules and what they did in the past in giving kids an extra year.

Anderson is the only guy who would start on LIU
Copeland and Fisher too. They didn't have an answer for Copeland but the foul trouble took him out of most of the second half. And Wilcher should be one of the guys too even if the didn't play like it.

For me, Del Jones = major disappointment but Roddie Anderson = major surprise.

Those TV announcers were a great advertisement to buy season tickets. Just terrible and I’m being kind.
I usually love Spanarkel too -- though I didn't watch the entire game and a lot of it was on mute in my office.

Roddie Anderson is a go guy early in the season. I was switch TV channels surprised to find Seton Hall game. Tuned in about 5 mins in the 2nd half, SHU closed the game really strong - hitting most of FT’s on aggressive drives to basket.

I know there’s a lot of new people to get used to, but who is Rodgers?

Was at game.

Defense was largely poor.

Team plays soft.

Wilcher is very slight in build. Played well last 5 minutes but his dribble is very loose and he is wound very tight. Needs to relax.

Brown camnot play defense. Needs to shoot when a 3 is available.

Shocked at how bad Copeland's hands are when going for a rebound. He had position all night and struggled to grab the board.

Ditto Williams.

Williams is a good passer it appears.

Thomas played well. He meeds minutes but will Sha not play Wilcher or Fisher.

Petrovic has to get a legit run to see if he can man the point.

Roddy Anderson is a player. I think he will play this well against better competition, but he cannot be your star go to guy without a massive jump from last year.

Team has to figure it all out fast.

Most disheartening was soft play and poor defense.

I’ll state the obvious…$10 million for this?

(And I’m certain a lot of fanbases are saying the same thing about their teams and NIL number.)
It’s early

But also remember by like the 10th BE game that number will change around here..it will be almost 10, and then ballpark of 10 and then guys the real number was only 7.7 and the school didn’t want release numbers to negotiate against itself…etc etc etc
