After a long spell of quiet weather, severe storms look to make a comeback this weekend. Still a lot of variability in timing which will have significant impacts on who sees the worst weather and how high the tornado threat is, but the SPC did use the term outbreak. As of right now, here is their best idea of where the strongest storms will occur.

Perfect! Leaving Memphis Saturday morning heading to the coast. My first trip back to MS in a year. Seems I always time it perfectly.

@Hugh's Burner Phone I have a noon-ish flight in Jackson Saturday. Could rent a car and drive 10h instead. You think it’ll impact flights Saturday?
Timing hasn't been nailed down very well yet. Possible for multiple rounds of storms starting late morning. Unfortunately, timing will also impact location and strength. Right now I wouldn't change plans.

Forecast still holding firm for tomorrow. Timing looks to be late morning through the early overnight hours.

And remember, we have several active Skycams viewable on www.NMSCAS.org. Website is free to view.

We also have several other locations approved to put cameras once we get funding to do so. If anyone is looking for a last minute tax deduction, you can donate to our nonprofit at https://givebutter.com/Y3o6N9 or text NMSC to 53555

Proceeds go to our camera network and disaster relief fund.

Welp it got me. Got the cancellation early and made a drive to Dallas to catch the second half of my flight. After they knocked me off the flight and had to rebook me on it
I made it out fine in Jackson. Delayed in Atlanta but expecting it to leave within the hour… hopefully

I'm at my farm up in Covington Co and on The Macallan 12 yr old, that I'm smoking it with a smoker made in Houston, MS so if Tornadoes are coming, I might as well be feeling good and limber so I can bend over and kiss my A goodbye I guess. So far, bunch of rain and a cool breeze.

That line looks terrible. Whether you get a discreet cell or not, you'll have some really high winds tonight if you're in the south half of Mississippi or the Western Delta.
