In all honesty when was the last time Rutgers was a "marquee" opponent? I can probably count on 1 hand (probably don't need a full hand) since the formation of the new BE that RU was considered a real "marquee" opponent.

EDIT: Answered my own question... They've been over .500 only 4 times since the new BE and only 1 season they achieved 20 wins.

Rutgers is NOT a marquee opponent. We can just schedule any random low achieving high major conference opponent at that point.

Your definition of marquee is whether a team is good. To me a marquee game is one the fans want to see and that draws. The Rutgers game is that regardless of whether RU is good or not.

Is it a game that will help us metrics wise? Probably not unless we beat that by double digits.

how many cameras do they have? show all the angles. if they cant decide, call stands. hard to figure an out of bounds call is hard to decide. i watch tons of baseball and the challenges dont bother me at all.
That depends on who is broadcasting, where and the importance that is put on the game. It's possible a place like Maui (or Walsh) may not have an angle that gives a good view on certain plays. The Prudential Center on the other hand might have several different views that all look different.

RU is easily the best non-conference opponent on our home schedule. Unless they're 7-25 brutal, they'll be a borderline top 100 or slightly higher NET team this year.

If we win it will be a solid win for us -- unlike any of our first five home wins.

It's all the local rivalry. Games with them will always fill the typical Rock capacity because there's that natural juice. They are a torpedo again this year. Cannot lose to them at home on 12/13 or CCSU on 12/3. Those would be painful and debilitating losses if we're trying to have a good season. No excuse for them.

The biggest game left for us is next Saturday at Kansas State. Beatable. Unless Abdi Bashir beats us again. That would likely be a Q1 win (NET Top 75 - road). NC State could be one too (NET Top 50 - neutral).

If this team is 10-1 with a neutral site win over NC State and a win at Kansas State, wow.
