I keep up with The Weather Channel’s local forecast…It’s changed 3 times since yesterday:first one was rain, then it was Rain-snow, to this last one which is some more favorable, light rain 80% during the day. Then 40% in the evening and just cloudy overnight…Not sure what the last forecast means but at least it gives some hope that it will stop raining by game time…Nevertheless, temperatures in the 30s.

Did notice on an NCHSAA release that most games, at this time are still scheduled for Friday…You know, at my age, health risks do increase, so if I were to die from exposure during or after a Lincolnton-Shelby game, especially this deep in the playoffs, and since we all have to walk that valley, sooner or later, I think it would be a hell of a lot better an exit than choking on a marshmallow. :)

Side Note: AAW, I would try to bug Shelbyfan1 a little, but it sounds like he is in a mood, today, and since I’m convinced that he is connected, I’m afraid he would call somebody in Washington and have my
- - - - - - - Social security pension cut off. My father once told me there are people in Shelby who can do that. And I’ve seen that sign in town, over there, too.:)

2 turnovers cost us 14 points last meeting. If you would have seen the stat sheet without the score you would have thought Shelby won. Turnovers are part of the game and you capitalize off of them. Coming into that game I said we were 14 points better. With the injuries and no turnovers this Friday, I got Shelby by a Touchdown
Fair. I see your reasoning.

Agreed on all points. I'm trying to stay out of his way, lol. Shelltown is connected, for sure. And they are favored by every outlet and available metric! Still...

I truly hope you don't expire Friday night! If you do, and I'm able, I'll strap you to the bell and charge the western grandstand, ringing it all the way!

Where should one eat dinner in Lincolnton?
There are plenty of good places.

If you're there early enough. The stadium. I walk to the home side visitors concession and load up.

Otherwise, Aspen Grill or House of Pizza are two of my favorites.

I'm sure the locals on here will fill you in with more options.

Court Street Grille and Good Wood Pizza are also good options and not far from the stadium.

We could start another thread on whether you will be early enough for "dinner" or "lunch", or if you mean the evening meal, "supper" or, er..."dinner"...
Haha...growing up "lunch" only happened at school. At the house it was dinner. Supper was no later than 6.

Even when working construction with my Uncle one summer during college, he had a dinner box...not a lunch box.

Funny games are being moved to Thursday, but game still on for fri at Lincolton.
80% chance of rain and 36 for high..
Funny could the big bad wolves belive the rain will hurt Shelbys air attack?
Do they feel they have better chance in rain then we do.

Facts are why would u not want a bigger gate on Thursday, where its clear and highs in 40s then playing in rain wher u know gate will be low on Fri..
Methinks ... oh, never mind.

The "Big Bad Wolf" moniker reminds me of years back. On the regular, opponents bands would break into a version of "Who's afraid of the Big Bad Wolf".

A great little taunt ditty that inspired our band to retort "You are. You are. You are" at the end...
Then our band adopted it for themselves, and played it regularly toward the would be taunters, and added the responsive cheer at the end...

Fun times.

Yes, and also besides having dinner, (if anyone 21 or older) has the pre-game jitters and needs to take the edge off of their anticipation, we have drinking establishments, and boy have we got ‘em!
On Monday and Friday mornings Main Street and the Court Square looks like the Great Silk Road with its convoy of beer trucks. Bet visitors would say, “Nobody dry in this man’s town.” :)

Just this morning, I was blocked by a Cheerwine truck delivering on the square. I gave him a mean look.

The last thing ya'll would want to see for the first time is me a bit greased up from the liquid courage showing up at this game...

Imagine that..

AAW, we all know how those wine distributors are. You know, our friend Cheerduck was associated with them, but he was a necktie and not a field Rep.

Chopper, we’ll take you just as you are. No need to change. That might be more than we could handle.

Last time Shelby was there all the visitor side had was pizza and nachos. Didn't even have pop corn. Y'all gotta do better than that.
