Its been a fantastic season, pal! By any measure, we were blessed. Nice to see the stands full, see old rivalries renewed, and see old friends in their rightful places on Friday nights!Congratulations to the Shelby Golden Lions. You beat us on offense, defense and every other way. Hats off on a very solid win and all the best against the Kinston Vikings in the championship game.
A special congratulations to Shelby Lion, SHS Lion and (65 Lion who had family playing), and the other posters, too.
If any of the Lincolnton players or staff stops by this thread may I say thank you for a great season. Thank you for all the work and effort you have put in on hot days, cold days and in the rain, too. Thanks for all the pain and bruises and hits you take to prepare for Friday nights, and for all the instructions and patience that our staff offers to you. Thank you for every thrill and joy which have been many, this season. As always, I thank you for everything you did for the people of Lincolnton, who love you dearly. Also, a special thank you to those staffing the press box and concession stands and are of assistance to our program in any way. May the Wolves nation get past the sting of losing, tonight, and look forward to next season. Thanks again, God bless.
Side Note: A special thank you, to my friend AlwaysAWolf. Thank you and your fine brother who is a friend of mine, too, for all you do for our program. And a big thank you for your thoughtfulness tonight. Hey, it's been a fun season.
Side Note: A big salute to my friend Cheerduck who's Hickory High Red Tornadoes lost out to a really good Crest team, last night. In the last three years, a state title and two semi-finalist...Not bad I'd think.
Side Note: Heard our friends and neighbors, Maiden, lost out tonight to Brevard. Just wanted to offer a big shout-out to the Blue Devils on another fine season. We'll all do it again, next year.

Told yall this team had turned corner after Burns game.
This week the coaches did one hell of a job getting them ready, and this win was at like 75 to 80% healthy...
One of our top rec didnt play..
But No.0 did play last time, and no.26. Our freshman rb didnt play he had 138 yrd rushing and 0 had td catch.
Met Lincolton AD tonight. He really good dude and we appreciate getting the tent together fir the kids..
But for a bright spot for Lincolton they will be loaded next year...so head up..

Wolves fans need to take cheer classes. I really hate the vibe of our crowd every Friday we have good turnout but only a handful actually get into the game & cheer.
Our crowds are much louder at road games. I love our stadium, but fans are so spread out and so far back from the field that I think it takes away from the atmosphere.
I think you’re spot on I just want our crowd to bring the same intensity they do during basketball games home or away especially last season. You would think one game from the State Championship we would have been loud like those 93-95 crowds. But those crowds showed up to watch the game & cheer these days cell phones take a lot of interest from what’s happening on the field
I said this after Game 1...that game reminded me so much of two past Shelby games...the 2005 regular season game at East Rutherford. ER was so up for that game and the atmosphere was absolutely electric....ER won and was conference champs and got the higher seed in the playoffs. Shelby had to travel to ER in Round 3...when we arrived ER was selling conference championship sweatshirts....Shelby won and went on to be state champions.
The second game it reminded me of was 2017...Shelby went to South Point for the regular season finale. South Point had a huge crowd, music pumping, band played a bunch of special numbers and SP defeated Shelby to win the conference championship. Two weeks later Shelby traveled back to SP for the 2nd Rd of the playoffs. South Point and it's fans didn't have near the energy or effort they had two weeks earlier. Shelby rolled and went on to the Western Regional finals, eventually losing to Hibriten.
I had a feeling that after Shelby lost in OT to the Wolves that the two would meet again the playoffs and it would be tough for Lincolnton and it's fans to match the energy and atmosphere that they had in the regular season game...
I agree that L-Town has a lot to look forward to next year...so many playmakers returning next season.
