Well, Chase gets beat by Burns,
Shelby blows RS out.
I see Chase playing hard for a Quarter then Shelby running away, just to many athletes.

Offensively Chase has MCSwain and he runs from side to side before going downfield. That is not going to work against Shelby. He might get hurt doing rhat change of direction he did on Burns. Chase will score once and if more it will be because Lance Ware wanted it that way.

The chase big d lineman going to app was out vs us . Does anyone know his status ? Wont really make a difference .

That kid is tough though.....took several hard shots and layed a few as well

Coach Ware, says hes pretty sure thats Chuck Mcswain son playing for Chase.
Still dont think it will help, Shelby has to many athletes in this one...subs in at half.

Kid has some good wheels on him. I'd like to see what he would be like on a better team and as a veer back.

I'll throw this out there. Does it seem like Truck plays better coming off the bench like a sixth man role in basketball? Last year his play seemed so much stronger, like he was playing with a chip on his shoulder every time he came into the game.

I read 48-17. I wondered how Shelby gave up 17 but I read the Shelby Star this morning and it looks like they only gave up 3 points on defense. This defense is impressive. Offense is as well but I can't see anyone running on the Lions. 63 total offensive yards for Chase per the newspaper.

Godevilgo, our D is very outstanding,, the 3 pts was a fg, which Chase i belive got short field. Halftime stats, Chase had 35 yrds passing, -5 rushing, thats impressive.
Total Star said 66 i was told 72 last nite.
Our offense spuddered alot, one person said looking ahead to Km
I think we play to who were playing, the boys gotta get focused for every game.
But again our D still looking great

Last year we had an A offense and a B defense. I would reverse that this year. Offense may get better, but we don't have 3 game changers at wr like last year. I see some trouble spots down the road offensively where the defense will have to win some big games for us.

Coach Ware class act, he has changed Shelby football, from being a great high school team, to like a collage team and atmosphere.
He also has took the look around Stadium and high school to another level.

Is Shelby go as last years team? Clinton ready for Shelby if both get back.

We must improve offensively, but if both are heathy and fortunate enough to meet in the state championship, I'm not worried about Clinton, their leather helmet football won't get it done versus our defense. No one will just line up and run the ball versus Shelby. Clinton is good no doubt, I keep an eye on them, their destruction of Northside was very impressive, but it's hard to tell how good them and Reidsville really are, because of the weak schedules they both play, especially Reidsville. I keep up with both. Reidsville doesn't play anyone, and they know it. It has caught up with them playing in the West the last two years in the playoffs, too.

Lawndog, against Rs and Chase Ware could have scored 75 to 80 pts after half we have played subs, last nite our jv qb even play

I guess 4a Northwest Guilford is a no one and High Point Andrews is a nobody. Northern is down, but I think they will win some games. The rest of our schedule is bad not all our fault though, county games and conference can't control those games.

You're a cool poster, don't take it as total disrespect, I'm just giving my honest opinion, though, that's the only way I know how, hate it or love it. Andrews is down, so is Northern Guilford. NWG is a formidable opponent, the rest of your schedule is just a bunch of cupcakes, they're just not competitive, period.

Andrews will do pretty good 2nd or 3rd round in 2a. Its kind of like South Point on your end, South Point lost some games but they will go deep. I think Northern will do pretty good on the back end of their schedule, they aren't as bad as I thought they were going to be. We will probably be a slight underdog vs Nwg, especially if their best player is back. Both Andrews and Northern have played tough schedules

Being honest with you, I'd favor Shelby over us, but I think it would be like that 17-7 game a couple of years ago.

The Shelby community should be proud yall have an amazing program, that is the standard of Dominance in highschool Football If our teams are fortunate to face each other to go the state championship, it will be a game of the ages . neither teams will be able to just check this one in the win column

Nobody can run on Shelby. Not up the gut, not off tackle, no counters, and no edges. Nobody. No classification. Dline is solid as a rock. Linebackers are freak tough and athletic. Nobody.

Dang....hate to hear of any injury to a kid....especially the brutal ACL injury...but I have to agree...the big 2A just took a major spin...and going forward...the west little 2A win probably come down to last year's rematch The Lions versus The Wolves...I just pray it's played in Lincoln county this year....lol
