Both teams had 2 great games in 2017 and 2018. At the beginning of year I figured we'd get drug by Shelby and might still happen but Shelby is 0-3. I doubt we can stop Shelbys passing game but hoping they can't stop our run game either.

Have seen this play out before. Think it was 2017 or so and Shelby offense was abysmal to start season. They made their adjustments and reeled off a bunch of wins. Be careful.
2018 they started 1-3 and won state.
That’s the year. Lost to Crest and then flipped script.
Tough match up for the panthers this coming week. Hard to match their speed this year but I’d bet hhs shows up to play!!! Hope I can make it cause these games are always packed with great atmosphere
Hibriten has a shot, as they have no defense to worry about.
Doesn’t this game fall under the category of “Who gives a f¥€? Game of the week?” Two former elite program’s relegated to has been status.
Probably a safe bet I figure Shelby will resemble East Lincoln talent wise but not as good a defense. We should be able to score a few times but not sure we can handle their vertical passing game. I'd say our best hope is getting pressure on the QB and having long sustained drives.
That's exactly what Hibriten should do. Ground and pound all night, keep Shelby's offense sitting on the sidelines, wear the defense out, and then explode in the 4th with everything you got.
An 0-3 Shelby team coming to Hibriten might be worse for Panthers then if Golden Lions we’re clicking on all cylinders right now and were sitting at 3-0… Would assume that now Shelby’s starters will play longer if they get up big where if they were 3-0 coaches might of called off the dogs a little sooner… If Golden Lions OL is decent this year Hibriten will be in trouble as we just don’t have the depth or overall team speed to match up with the WR’s and Running backs… And Panthers have had trouble over the last year and a half against good competition sustaining drives over a course of the game… Painful to say this but I’ll have to say Golden Lions 45-13
That 0-3 start means nothing to Shelby. Plus that was against powerful teams. Shelby will handle this 28 to 7. I’ll spot Hibriten as playing a strong D keeping it to just that score and offense pulling a fast one on Shelby getting that one TD.

The bench? Nah man, I would have my starters out there every game for as long as possible with the way they've started out, make them remember just because Shelby is on your jersey doesn't mean everyone will bow down to you.

We all know Shelby will roll into Lawndale October 28th with a 6-3 record with a new attitude and still expecting to win it all. And that's possible!!!

We have the offense to beat anyone on the schedule , just need to find the pieces of a defense that we just need a couple stops a game... (Right now that looks easier said than done, but i believe theyll find those pieces)

Better to be a has been than never was.
Any way you would have to have three or four loosing seasons to be called a has been. Loosing to three top programs 3a and 4a does not make anyone a has been.
I’m HHS thru and thru, we are down and I’m not stupid enough to think Shelby sucks. So, I’ll say Shelby 48-13. I hate to say this after we’ve played them in 2 epic games recently, the last several years was our best run of talent ever. I hope we can pull out a 6-4 or 5-5 type year and get better doing so. Maybe if we can it will carry over to next year, we have some nice sophomores this year. Now back to Shelby! I’ll bet anyone, Shelby will be playing around or after Thanksgiving. Probably be in Ship. Those guys have been in this situation before. Nobody wants a 6-4 Shelby team in first round, whoever gets that is gonna have a short playoff season.
The 2A west is loaded. It’d could be a bad day for Chase or Maiden to draw Shelby in the first round.
