You guys are so damn naive regarding M
You completely missed my point, which was common sense restrictions should be made on both guns and travel to and from Muslim countries. But too many people want just focus on just one or the other.

We have a government where both the left and the right (sans Trump) is hell bent on letting free entry from 3rd world countries into the US and you want me to think gun restrictions are the answer?

I mean, that's semantics. This kid was apparently American born and raised anyway.

For the record, I'm in favor of some restrictions. If you travel to Afghanistan for "pleasure", you're staying there. But many, many more simply want to round up all the Muslims at this point. And they're equal in number and craziness as those who want to completely ban guns.

That's why I wrote, and why Trump said until we get a better understanding of the situation.

Who wants to round up all Muslims? And while I'm sure there are many that do, they are no where near the number or have the voice of those that want to ban guns. Hell, we have US cities that already ban guns.

We need to get our military the hell out of the Middle East. If we are attacked, defend our home and then take out the enemy, but don't set up permanent residence there. If we had Middle Eastern military permanently set up in the U.S., I guess I would be considered a terrorist because I'd do my part to get them out.

Once again McCard needs to see France and much of Europe for how that stops terrorism.

And you continue to prove my point. I'm in favor of restrictions regarding Muslims and Muslim countries - I've said it several times in this very thread. But I also mentioned restrictions on guns and that's the only part of what I've said that you can focus on.

We need common sense restrictions on both fronts.

What common sense restrictions are you wanting? This guy was a licensed security guard with a statewide gun permit.

What common sense gun laws helped in France?

I understand your point, but "common sense" restrictions will not stop attacks like this. Our solution in the middle east is currently a "truth is somewhere in the middle solution." We're neither pulling out of the area nor are we doing a full on war. And it's a disaster. Our methods of trying to stop this domestically are in the middle as well and they clearly aren't working. Just like nearly every problem caused by our government is likely a result of "meeting in the middle" with a bureaucratic solution that leaves no one happy and does nothing to solve any problems.

I don't remember a "truth is somewhere in the middle" solution to WW2. Our country doesn't have the guts to do something like that nowadays so we pretty much have to just deal with this.

I'm not sure I'd go that far. If you had told me on Sept 11th that fifteen years later, there'd only be a handful of small-scale attacks (many of them foiled), I would've been shocked.

If this happened in a country bar, say Bob's Country Bunker in the Blues Brothers, how many bullet holes would the shooter have in him?

Gee, another assault rifle used to kill a bunch of people. Feels like Groundhog Day.

Looking forward to the ******** from the NRA.

Oh oh, let me guess- it's not the time for that right now.

The media keeps asking if it was a hate crime. They so want it to be! Can't wait until they call him a white ahghani.

You already know how the left will play this.

He's an American. He hates gays. His religion is irrelevant. Take the guns.

And these dumbasses wonder why this is progressing into WW3

Is it the time for you to actually research gun deaths from rifles or do anything other than rely on "common sense"?

A few thoughts:
1. We don't need AR15s or any other automatic/assault weapons - however you want to call them.
2. Islam is not a religion of peace. That's complete horse **** and we know it.
3. The radical Muslims are coming for us and the west is finished if we don't get a handle on this!
4. The people on the political fence better wake up. We need to circle the wagons, get Immigration under control or the American way of life will go the way of the Dodo.

Ok, I feel better...

Obama's speech delayed. Big surprise. His anti-gun message probably needs a little fine tuning based upon what we've learned in the past few hours.

I'm feeling you this "Islam vs Gays" thing is completely blowing their minds. It would be like an NRA member shooting up a Chamber of Commerce meeting for the Establishment GOP. They wouldn't know what to do.
