I don't see anything on the first page here, so sorry if you've already chewed this one over, but I was just down on the Texas board and they're putting the fact that Boren is stepping down at OU together with Stoops' retirement two months before the season started to mean that "the game is afoot" to quote one of their main inside information guys-- a former Texas player named clob94--and the next round of conference realignment is about to begin.
Some say OU wants to join the B1G and that if they do they'll stipulate that Texas comes along-- few seem to relish the Pac 10 culture and if they go to the SEC it would involve that conference booting ATM because Texas won't go anywhere the Aggies are.
So if that's how it shakes out-- OU, Okie State, Texas, and KU as a basketball school joining the B1G to bring it to 18-- would that be your dream come true as you could re-start the series with OU or your worst nightmare as there's no way OU and Texas would give up the RRR and so they'd both come into the west division together? The LHN has done nothing for Texas and a fair number seem like they have no problem giving it up at this point. Some think the OK legislature might not stipulate that the cowboys would have to come along and the KU thing has only been mentioned in passing-- so two other teams might be poached from somewhere to put in your east division instead?
I'm sure some of you have thoughts....
