What is the NCHSAA rule on teams using sideline video with replay during the game? Apparently for the purpose of making adjustments on the fly. I know it’s not legal at other levels of football.

It is now legal. I have seen some teams with big screen TV’s on sidelines. Most everyone had iPads.

Burns have been doing it for several years now. I assume of it was illegal, we would have been called out for it by now.

Yeah - ND has an impressive set up - I assume you saw it last night.

I did. I confess that I fail to see the logic in allowing it. There are teams who can neither afford the equipment nor have the manpower to run it. Seems to me that it just gives another advantage to the strong programs. And one that I don’t believe they need.

Not disagreeing - saw it up close on the ND sideline when they were at OG.

I actually like it... Helps to teach the kids and helps to make them better... It's especially a huge plus for kids that have a chance to play at the next level

Apparently it was approved nationally in 2013. I think Texas and one other state still ban it. Not sure when North Carolina jumped in.
I get the possible coaching benefits. Just wish it would be everybody or nobody. I know how difficult it is for some schools to even provide the very basics for athletics.

If it's Texas, then the other is probably Massachusetts because those are the two states whose high school football uses college rules

SP has chairs circled around like a living room setting with the TV. Kept an assistant coach in that area working constantly with the offense or defense, whomever was not on the field at the time. Makes for some good in game adjustments I’m sure.
