Did they dump a truckload of fizzies into the pool at the varsity swim meet?*

How can they catch these guys so fast but in a year not find who beat a dude into the hospital at a crowded frat house?

With that many members and virtually no MS members says something wrong about ole miss. I'm all for Greeks...he'll I was one and enjoyed the hell out of it...but this shows a lack of institutional control.

Why? Do you think the MS Ole Miss guys are not Rebels?

Sure. But there's only FOUR of them. Just seems to me that their...

"recruit the world" philosophy has blown up in their face, both athletically and fraternally.

Wow if they spent that amount of energy on the KA beat down

they'd have their men there too! Things that make you go hmmmm. Vandalize a statue and we'll get you. Beat a man unconscious and we'll let that pass.

"There is a little-known codicil in the Faber College Ole Miss Constitution which gives the dean unlimited power to preserve order in times of campus emergency."

Paid tuition for 2 years**

Yahoo is now saying the chapter voted to kick out all three guys and they then turned over their identities to the police. Sig Ep national still suspended the chapter though. I am guessing their nationals will be doing its own investigation.

The guys left in their chapter have got to be seriously pissed off.

The three guys were freshmen. Perhaps what they did was part of their initiation into the fraternity, and they were told to do what they did by more senior members. In that case, maybe the chapter should have been suspended. If the three did it on their own, without knowledge or endorsement from the chapter, then the chapter is not at fault. I suspect it's closer to the former however.

I'd say the situation where the guys got stomped and beat unconscious last year was much more serious though. But you're hearing less about that than you are this incident.

Unless they are spring pledges, they are already initiated. I expect this is the most likely case. A lot of guys, at least for a short while, act 10 foot tall and bullet proof once initiated.

This is not surprising the UM enrollment is about 60%-40% out of state I heard in a admissions meeting. This is why they never want to use Mississippi in their name. It affects the out of state admissions too much. It is amazing to me that the State of MS continues to allow them to act like they are not a state funded school, yet continuing to take the money.
