we are hitting the ball very well lately. If we had ANY decent BP pitching, we would have swept this weekend with ease.

If we ran an offense in football that was adjusted to fit the guys on our team, we would have won 3 more football games last year! </p>

I thought going into the season we'd have a nice line up. I didn't think it would be b/c Sneed, Duffy, and Deloach were hitting as well as they are and C. Powers and Collins would be sub- .300. Leading the conference in hitting in conference games at .332 is pretty impressive.

We are 6th though in slugging. We love the single.

Going into the 8th I thought these guys aren't the most physically talented but they are scrapping. They could win some games and are maybe only a player or 2 from being a really good team. They had laid down 3-4 perfect bunts, had played error-free defense, and had stolen third base three times--including once on the catchers throw back to the pitcher. They were playing Cohen ball. Whitney gave up a bunch of hits but he pitched his way out of trouble. Then....the bullpen. Crosswhite was shaky in the 8th then just fell apart in the 9th. Apparently we have one great starter, 2 more decent ones and then that's it.

I'm still hopeful just because of their style of play. Not so much hopeful for this year but when the recruits start to come in.

we'd be sitting at 7-5 in the SEC right now. There's absolutely no excuse to not have won at least 2 of the 3 home conference losses so far.
