I know I’m prejudiced but I couldn’t figure that out either? Two things stick out to me
One wonder why he doesn't split East / West like MaxPreps and NCHSAA.
Two only one of the three with Mt Airy over Eastern Randolph even though like MaxPreps ER strength of schedule is higher and their RPI is higher though like MaxPreps we don't know all that goes into the formula.
The three teams they beat were Chatham Central, Jordan Mathews and Carrboro. However played a one score game with Providence Grove last week.I watched some of that game. Hard to tell how good ER is because Trinity looked terrible. I’d hate to see the three teams they beat.
Well while it's interesting as far as a conversation starter , I still look to see what MaxPreps is as well, but the reason I post the NCHSAA RPI rankings like them or not at the end of the day they're the only ones that will count. So does ER…![]()
Depends I can see them dropping possibly by 1 like in the Simmons swapping places with Robbinsville if they win because of strength of schedule. In the RPI rankings the only team I see that could jump them is Mtn Heritage right now their RPI total is Thomasville .589 ..MH .571 it will probably depend on their OOPW, MH's is higher, right now Thomasville's WP is higher and will stay higher, the OPW with both playing teams tonight with the same record shouldn't change Thomasville's is higher right now. This all is assuming they both win and it would help MH if TJ loses who is between them.Thomasville will probably fall in the rankings after playing South Davidson tonight
Thomasville has South Davidson, East Davidson and Lexington left. Speaks for itself.Depends I can see them dropping possibly by 1 like in the Simmons swapping places with Robbinsville if they win because of strength of schedule. North Stokes has a winning record at 4-3A win for MA won't help considering N Stokes record either. So it all washes out. Ol Mountain is correct. Only one that counts is nchsaa rpi at the end of year
Well I was just talking about next week's ratings but yeah as they look now those two teams don't win their remaining schedule in the end could hurt Thomasville's RPI but it's hard to tell of course depends on how the others near them do plus while your OPW is 40% of your RPI you're our WP is 30% plus the OOPW is 30% and just because you're playing a team with a low WP doesn't mean that they're opponents have a low average winning percentage. Thomasville has just a good chance of remaining where they're at then dropping.Thomasville has South Davidson, East Davidson and Lexington left. Speaks for itself.
The teams they beat are 5-16 overall.North Stokes has a winning record at 4-3
If my math is right MA opponents winning percentage will go up a little while ER will go down a little thing is ER's before this weekend was .667 and MA's .483. Not sure about the last category NS opw is only .414 (41%). But I don't believe there'll be a lot of moving in the top 10 maybe some trading spots, except maybe TJ if they lose tonight. The teams they beat are 5-16 overall.
the top 10 all moved up or stayed the same except TJ after Elkon dropped out of the top 10. Starmounts opponents winning percentage has helped them @ .844 ( 40% of RPI) but their only .006 above Murphy and Elkon so they'll probably start going down with more loses. And losing by 43 doesn't mean anymore the losing by 1 or winning by that much as far as that goes.Starmount lost by 43 points and moved up a spot in rpi??
