I know the thread title is just to incite anger from the the usual crowd but I'll give you a sincere (and obvious) answer.

If DH isn't on the ropes then he's damn close. When a coach is in that situation he has a 'win now' mentality...and while I know 8 wins wouldn't impress you it would probably give Dana another year (considering his recruiting classes).

I think Howard is going to be really good..we have one of the best mike lb's in the nation and an outstanding group of RB's...let's see if our corps of young receivers can step up

Unfortunately those RB core's success will largely depend on the guys in the trenches which hasn't been a strength of late.

I think we give up on this season and let the seniors go. We can practice all season with the underlings. If that doesn't work, repeat it in 2016.

Biggest bunch of whiners!

Why not start Crest? It's a legitimate question.
Yeah why not? Howard has don NOTHING with this offense this year. No pass completions, hasn't gained a yard with his feet. Bright spot is that he hasn't had any turnovers either, but how do you win without scoring a single point? Dang, maybe he will get better once the season actually starts.

Says who ??

I take this current QB selection to assume the coaches think another guy simply gives us a better chance to win right now.....and at such a time when that changes, you'll be the first one to know. Never ceases to amaze me how some folks continually remain so focused on incoming recruiting reputations rather than who has proven on the practice (or playing) field they can play.

Besides, if you don't (or can't) trust the coaches to make the best decision as to whom should play, why should you trust the reputations of who they recruit in the first place ??
