Coming off our 2nd straight Egg Bowl win and a NYD Bowl win, I expect this class to be pretty decent. Besides the 2 really big in state guys Quay Evans and Channing Ward, and probably Grindle once things are over with, are there any other MS guys, or out of state guys, that we have a good chance at or need to keep an eye on?

for DL in Mississippi. I hope we can land an early commitment from Voytik. He may very well end up a 4 star when the Scout and Rivals rankings start to get finalized. Sevendust on BDJ said a regional Rivals writer saw Voytik at one of these camps or combines recently and he reminded him of Aaron Murray. FWIW.

D'Arthur Cowan from Olive Branch who like MSU and Dak's former WR, Gladney. Really good video on Gladney. He will probably be a high 3 star.

am not saying it doesn't happen but Liggins is a 3* and Bama has offered six 4* QBs already and accepted the QB committment of Justin Thomas, (Prattville HS) Prattville, AL5-11/180/4.34 for the '12 class. They can't sign all of them.

Most Bama fans think they will get Jameis Winston, 4*, from Hueytown; Bama is only team listed as 'high' and State has offered.

On the Bama board, these are listed ahead of Liggins:

4 Star, Connor Brewer, (Chaparral HS) Scottsdale, AZ 6-3, 190

4 Star, Matt Davis (Klein Forest HS) Houston, TX 6-1/198

4 Star, Gunner Kiel (Columbus East HS) Columbus, IN 6-4/200

4 Star, Greyson Lambert (Wayne County HS) Jesup, GA 6-5/185

4 Star, Zeke Pike (Dixie Heights HS) Ft Mitchell, KY 6-5/225

4 Star, Jameis Winston (Hueytown HS) Hueytown, AL 6-4/190

to be able to scream "I'M NICK JAMES, *****!" every time he makes a play. Which I'm sure he hasn't heard every other day for the last 5 or so years...

to Ole Miss then I officially give up on Madison Central no matter what Todd says. His family is big MSU.

He's a great athlete, but he's not a QB based on the two times I saw him play.

We seem to be pretty interested in both Voytik and Liggins. We also offered Alford from Pearl (I think?). I'm not sure if we would turn anyone down if they offered thei commitment.

I'm pretty much done with it. Who we sign is who we sign. I will check to see who we sign when it is all over.

I heard that the Petal QB would go Baseball. He is a heck of a QB but is better in BB.

through the grapevine was that he wants to play both sports in college.

Thing is, he hurt his knee last year, and that could hurt his draft stock a little bit.

It wouldn't shock me if he went to MLB at all, but there is a better chance than most would think of him going to college.

His pro future is definately in baseball.

I probably will too.

I never have understood the hard on that Ole Miss has for Madison Central football players.
