Racism seeks a stratification of society based on race, that's not American, and it doesn't promote freedom. As long as it isn't implemented in practice in open society, one is free to think whatever they choose. I'd even go as far to say that a company has the right to not hire based on race (as long as the practice is declared openly by the PRIVATE owners).
