No kids have gone hungry in this country in decades due to lack of resources.
Correct. A lot of that in part due to SNAP. 1939 part of the Green New Deal. Helped eliminate this as a potential problem. Americans not just Rs or Ds have helped maintain this and this will be the first gap in its history.
The only way a child is hungry in the USA is due to parental/guardian neglect or abuse. The avg SNAP recipients I see can easily fast 30 days and still be morbidly obese.
Well let's see. A. There's more to the country than your eyes see. Like states that aren't top of obesity and bottom in economy. B. Healthy food is often more expensive than food that's good for you. C. You're already mentally prepared to starve other Americans for 30+ days and see it as a good thing.
And it is the idiot Democrats keeping the gov't closed.
Well now that's amazing. Somehow Republicans hold the Senate, the House, the Presidency, and a majority on the Supreme Court. But Fox News is saying that it's the Democrats fault. Man. By your logic Mississippi State is controlling its own destiny in SEC play.

Ole Ms having a really strong TPUSA chapter might be a negative for them actually. Most football prospects probably come from Liberal households.
Does that affect their recruiting....in a negative way?

They had a huge crowd supporting a conservative VP, who is the perceived evil tyrant's closest confidant? How does that resinate? Something to consider.
Nah. Their name is Ole Miss and still have a chub for the confederacy and it's never impacted recruiting. It's all about money and/or playing time.

Dear God. It takes 60 votes to pass the CR, Republicans have 53 seats, so yes it is the Democrats keeping it shutdown as they have all voted no 13 times in a row with the exception of three. Rand Paul votes no on every single spending bill so at least he is consistent. Once again, blow it out your ***. Oh, and every single team in the SEC controls its own destiny. You have to win dipshit.

Why do you watch fox news? The cr passed in the house and has the votes to pass in the senate (minus the filibuster). Do you want the republicans to nuke the filibuster? I sure as hell don't.

Soooooooooo sounds like they just have to compromise with 7 of the 47 Democrats to get the votes they need, right? Don’t see why they fail to do that.

From my point of view 17 republicans could flip in the senate and a few in the house (like they have with the Epstein vote) and a resolution could pass.

Maybe the business man who's really good at deals could do better than being 2 for 2 in shutting down the government? It's funny how you only blame one side for not agreeing to the others outrageous demands rather than the side making outrageous demands.

Why did they vote yes three time in the last year on the same CR but are now voting no?

Only one side is making outrageous demands. The CR is the same one that Dems voted yes on three times in the last year but now suddenly voting 13 times in a row "no".

Also… I looked into the “Ole Miss searches increased last night” claim on trends.google.com and at first glance, that appears to be correct. Here is the Google trends chart over the past 24 hours. Note the spike last night.

Pretty impressive, right? Ok, well look at that a little more in depth. Where did all of this newfound interest come?

Mississippi.

View attachment 979103

More specifically, Oxford, MS.

So, realistically, any “bounce” was largely on the backs of those already faithful to the Confederacy.

Now, let’s zoom out a little bit and look at the last week of activity on the search term “Ole Miss” and you can see how this spike compares against a college football Saturday.

Not even on the same planet.

This isn’t the coup for Ole Miss some are pretending and, even if it was, it’s not the black eye for Starkville some idiots are claiming.
Randy Savage told me to bump this.
